You don't need to don tinfoil when incompetence will explain some of these things.
TheaLogie
Really? Then how do you explain this?
"Forbes stated that Fiduciary Trust was one of the WTC’s first occupants after it was erected, and that a “power-down” had never been initiated prior to this occasion. He also stated that his company put forth a huge investment in time and resources to take down their computer systems due to the deliberate power outage. This process, Forbes recalled, began early Saturday morning (September 8th) and continued until mid-Sunday afternoon (September 9th) – approximately 30 hours. As a result of having its electricity cut, the WTC’s security cameras were rendered inoperative, as were its I.D. systems, and elevators to the upper floors."

Becuase the WTC building collapses appear to be timed implosions (have you ever seen a downtown bldg demolition).
Those implosions, and the building collapses only serve to reinforce the horror.

mac, yeah, that has bothered me big time ever since I read about it (I think CBS or Time, can't remember) Anyway, I have no clue as to whether there is video.
Compare with Nancy Pelosi:
“‘I consider it one of the great disappointments of my public life that I couldn’t use my influence to stop this war,’ Pelosi said somberly as the first wave of shock and awe began …” (Marc Sandalow, “Pelosi Picks Her Way Through Brambles Of War,” The San Francisco Chronicle, 3/30/03)
The Rethugs are attacking her on this in their Pelosi attack file.
I love her for it.

He's happy because he thinks he's doing a good thing, a noble thing: getting rid of a persistent threat to the United States and liberating an oppressed people, beginning a new era for the Middle East. It was going to be morally clear (i.e., "lots of scary-sounding weapons will be found, many links to truly despicable terrorists whom Iraq has directly sponsored") and the occupation will be easy (i.e., "pay for itself, with exiles moving in easily to run an existing bureaucracy").
Sincerity: we shouldn't assume Bush fakes it. There's a new bio of Stalin out--a man much more murderous and black-heared than Bush--that explains Stalin's cold-heartedness simply. He, like Mao, or like Hitler, believed in what he was doing. The purges were necessary, regrettable, but necessary, to the flowering of the Soviet state. The ends were worthy, and the means justified.
You know, sincerity and integrity are over-rated. I mean, Charles Manson was sincere. He was just deranged.

The AP story, which most US newspapers will pick up, claims that critics view Fahrenheit 911 as inferior to Bowling for Columbine. Of course, every review I've read claimed just the reverse. But if the reporter acknowledged this, it would take some wind from the claim that the prize was only the result of its anti-Bush politics.
"While Fahrenheit 9/11 was well-received by Cannes audiences, many critics felt it was inferior to Moore's Academy Award-winning documentary Bowling for Columbine, which earned him a special prize at Cannes in 2002.
Some critics speculated that if Fahrenheit 9/11 won the top prize, it would be more for the film's politics than its cinematic value."
OMG, nur al cubicle posted that Bush fell off his bike when he heard about Moore winning the Palme d'Or, and I thought he was kidding.
What a spaz. I hope they don't let him drive a car anytime soon. He's already driving the country into the ground.

Weird. The headlines should read "Bush Falls on Face." That would be an appropriate headline for almost any point in the Bush administration.
But honestly, the Bush pre-speech video isn't all that bad. It's not like you couldn't take little bits out of context and make this kind of jokey video out of ANYONE's preparations. And that dumb music was way over the top.

Yeah, I don't buy this WTC was a pys ops thing for a second. First off, if these guys were that coldbooded and (more importantly) clever, they would have "found" stocks of WMD in Iraq because they would have been prepared to plant them.
And if they weren't ready cause they really expected to find WMDs there, then they would have gotten their shit together and planted them by now. These folks are just simply arrogant and incompetant. They lie about big things, but they aren't purposefully engineering attacks on our soil.
Just look at the Chalabi situation, the administration is finally turning on him even though there has been strong evdience for 10 years that this guy is a lying douchebag in bed with Iraq. These guys are blind and until rude facts intrude upon their preconceived notion they continue to believe they are doing what's best for America's security.

I am freakin sick of the extranious 9/11 bullcrap also.
Just got dragged to a bunch of infowars.com militia types video meeting. They spent half the time in my face about how Bush and Kerry were just alike and skull and crossbones wants to rule the world.
Its just the Black Helicopter people adding Bush to the hate list. They went on and on about Bush planned to have the UN come in and takeover the US. Excuse me? Bush is a lacky of the UN?
Total incompetance on 9/11 is more than enough, and so was a fully laden 767 with a full load of fuel.
Watch the discovery channel for gods sake.
They have layed it out several times about what caused those towers to collapse.

I wish I was smoking some Northern lights. I have heard all the crap you are saying. I agree that these paticular group of facists might just do this shit, but there is enough problems getting just the meme that Bush is an incompetent moron without the tinfoil brigade making us all seem like a bunch of loonies.
Shorter me. This crap doesnt help.
We arent getting to do diddly shit untill Bush is gone. If you arent doing anything to accomplish this goal then shut the hell up.
I am ex-milatary and watched with my owneyes cocaine being loaded by play soldier spooks onto Soauthern Air Transport c-130s for direct transport to elgin air force base for transhipment to favored mafia Dons.
We left our TO&E down there in direct defiance of a congressional mandate against it.
All good old fashion conspiricies that got swallowed up in that good old black hole of, "my goverment wouldn't do that".
So from that personal expeience I would say that unless you have proof positive of your little theories, than you are being harmfull to the greater good.
As for the Black Helicopter people, I will say again what I said before. They have the same theory. Bombs were used to bring down the WTC, but then they elaborate that that was down so the UN could come in and take away everybodys guns.
The company you keep old.

It was political. It was an engineering discussion of why the buildings failed.
Thank you for not cussing me and proving two people can have a rational conversation.
My opinion is a fully fuel loaded 767 crashed into the WTC was more than enough to do it.
The explosion rather than implosion was caused by a girder faliure do to the cintral core construction method used.
My opinion may be wrong, but it is at least as valid as the tinfiol brigade above.
But of course they are right and anyone who disagrees is wrong.

There was also unrepaired damage from the earlier explosion, as well as large amounts of potentially explosive material stored in the basement as fuel. But the whole thing is moot until we grab these filthy liars by the career-jugular and force them to admit what they know. No "documentary" or "explanation" can effectively take place because of the at best suspicious behavior of the White House.
A good and easy standard would be, did the "documentary" mention the high number of unprecedented wierd things here? The refusal to let the authorities who investigate every crash investigate these? The military bases the planes flew right over? The refusal to do anything about them, except in Pennsylvania?
