Does anyone know if Byron is gay in practice or is just trying to look and sound and seem gay?

Remember, Democrats are the evil, satanic, baby killing enemies of democracy. Republicans are your ownly salvation. Only they know what democracy truely is, not some rotten Jewish special interest scamster. So watch American Idol in peace and ignore the blatant erosion of your rights. After all, it's for your OWN GOOD.

The big problem is that those able to make York and co look like pathetic sloganeering shits -- the Altermans and Conasons -- tend to be doing their day-jobs, rather than posting inanities to the Corner while making nuisance calls to CNN/MSNBC/Faux and waiting for *69.

Do you think that same nasty little Republican house boy/servent like Byron York is really going to have any effect on how much money Soros makes?

A-Man,
Use some of that Soros bread to buy that poor boy an fifth-grade grammar book.
And then buy me a new bass guitar. I want one of them Lemmy from Motorhead Rickenbacher signature series.

Some guys have all the luck. I keep waiting for the Rockefellers to come get me--I believe they abandoned me on the doorstep of my "parents" because I was a love child and thus a political liability.
As for Soros, don't you people realize that Holocaust survivors who promote democracy are effectively a 5th columnm, or maybe a 6th or 7th, in this country? They must be stopped at all costs! Thanks be to our bad-assed Christian God that Byron York is around to provide a bastion against this evil horde of rich Jews who are hell-bent on destroying all we hold dear.

It's so hard to scream over the noise of the Wurlitzer. And if we do, well then we're crazy, doncha know.
But I love that Soros can just keep on keepin' on, and nobody can do anything about it. They're just having tantrums.

Nice catch from the Max speak thread. Cut and pasted here--
"In the past few weeks, other deplorable events have come to light which have troubled the civic and religious conscience of all, and made difficult a serene and resolute commitment to shared human values," the pope said, referring to the reports of abuse of prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison. "In the absence of such a commitment, neither war nor terrorism will ever be overcome."
But since the ersatz prez is desperate for the conservative Catholic vote, I don't imagine NRO will be smearing the ga-zillion-times-richer-than Soros Vatican anytime soon.
The whores get so ANGRY when the rich give to the more deserving ...

Byron York might be a liar and a fascist, but I think you need to look beyond York's own ineptitude because in a way his headline presents the issue in a way that is understandable to many people.
The gut reaction to September-11 is to commit violence...in that there is a connection between 9/11 and Abu Graib.
This is a cycle of violence that started many years ago. This cycle is something Kerry must work to reduce. Kerry must be a healer.

Any self-respecting editor would fire York and he should be fired. Lying about what a guy said to make him look bad... I wish I could say I'm shocked. The Repugs have been doing it so long, the country seems to think it's a legitimate part of the discourse.

"The Repugs have been doing it so long, the country seems to think it's a legitimate part of the discourse."
If the country thinks it's a legitimate part of the discourse (which, judging from the media, seems to be true), then it is a legitimate part of the discourse, and Democrats are handicapping themselves if they confine themselves to promulgating something as quaint as the truth, especially since they're apparently set on running an admitted war criminal for the office of the president. The Democrats need to oil up the old smear machine and begin their counter-disinformation campaign in earnest.

think we need our own newtified lexicon for dems to use to denigrate the republicans. we already know they can't stand the heat.

Dems need more than a lexicon to denigrate Republicans (though having one would be handy). They need a disinformation campaign strategy to delegitimate the Republicans and escalate the domestic ideological conflict.
Suggestions: calling into radio and television talk shows impersonating conservatives and Republicans to portray them in a non-flattering manner, spreading rumors, sending out disinfo press releases to the media, volunteering for the local Bush campaign office to throw a few wrenches into the gears of the machine from the inside, crashing Bush campaign meetups with a group of like-minded friends to accost the warmongers when they least expect it, dressing up as KKK members and holding impromptu rallies in support of the president.
The campaign must be merciless and relentless.

An information campaign will do. Say the turth, often and forcefully if need be.
Use it to end every argument.
Any point they cannot answer bring up over and over.
Repetition is the key in propaganda, it withers in the face of fact.
As for Soros, he is a treasure. He has a wealth of SPIRIT. There is NO dollar amount which can equal that level of value.
He is like Wellstone or Noam, always in his element. Even when he does public speaking like his CSPAN appearance, what he loses in delivery he gains in honesty.
He is an example of the globalism Clinton envisaged done in correct fashion. His strengths outwiegh any shortcomings in the international community.
