I'MMA LET YOU FINISH

GravatarOT, but is ROveCo driving this bus?

Gravatarsigh
can't load Gorenfeld's site on my mac

GravatarMaybe Baker is so busy with resolving Iraq's debt issue that he doesn't have time to be the peace envoy. Of course, that assumes he's actually doing something on the debt issue other than collecting frequent flyer miles...

GravatarOT: I just gave to Hoeffel (Pa. senate race against Specter). I've held off till now because I was ticked that the Hoeffel campaign dropped ads on Daily Kos site after its critical comments on mercenaries in Iraq.

But, this campaign is bigger than the Hoeffel camp's micro tactics. Hoeffel is a progressive & strong campaigner. Pa. is a swing state with a newly elected Democratic governor. Specter has moved steadily to the right since Reagan. If Hoeffel gets enough donations he'll win. He's within striking distance of Specter without running TV ads. Also, a Hoeffel strong campaign helps Kerry in this critical swing state. Also, a Hoeffel win would start the momentum for the effort against the anti-gay Santorum in 2 years.

It loaded fine on my Mac. ??

GravatarOT
Michael Moore wants to do a film about recently slapped Tony Blair because he's not an idiot like Bush and is therefore more responsible.

GravatarOh, I get it! That's why the smoke machine has been on full blast about Robot Reagan being a saint. Moon must have converted him in the spirit world, and his genocide in Central America and his loving support of Moon-saved Saddam Hussein were all part of the plan.

I hear Moon and Saddam, Hitler, Musolini, Franco, and the torturer-in-chief all have group sex in the spirit world.

No wonder Bushliar has a hard time talking...pillow feathers.

GravatarI don't get the inset photo of Weldon pinning something on Khadafy's lapel. The linked article says Weldon, Issa and Ortiz met Khadafy in a tent set up outside his bombed out home in Tripoli, but in the photo there are marble walls in the background.

I'm very confused.

Gravatarpreznit giv me turkee-your link went to a story about Baker stepping down, after seven years, in trying to mediate the Morrocco thing. Get your eyes off the Maghrib, Baker's still messing things up in Iraq along with all the other happy campers.

GravatarThe spokesperson went from "He absolutely didn't go" to "He only attended."

Its apalling that the spokesperson finds lying so easy.

GravatarIt's all pretty comical, but I kind of wish more of this idiot's idiot constituents were paying atention. Oh well.

GravatarWeldon's next line of defense will be that he was in a fugue state.

GravatarThe scariest part: "[Hersh] said he had seen all the Abu Ghraib pictures. He said, 'You haven't begun to see evil...' then trailed off. He said, 'horrible things done to children of women prisoners, as the cameras run.' He looked frightened."
US Torturing Children according to S. Hersh

GravatarOT:

The top U.S. commander in Iraq, Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, issued a classified order last November directing military guards to hide a prisoner, later dubbed "Triple X" by soldiers, from Red Cross inspectors and keep his name off official rosters. The disclosure, by military sources, is the first indication that Sanchez was directly involved in efforts to hide prisoners from the Red Cross, a practice that was sharply criticized by Maj. Gen. Antonio Taguba in a report describing abuses of detainees at the Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad.

GravatarI hear Moon and Saddam, Hitler, Musolini, Franco, and the torturer-in-chief all have group sex in the spirit world.

I hear Ronnie appeared to Elliot Abrahms in a dream, commanding him to commit suicide and bring Satan a bible, a cake, and a whole buch of F-16 parts. It's part of the Gipper's plan to free himself and Bill Casey so that they can go to a better place.

Gravatar...and no major media will pick this up?

Of course not. Those puppies only do what they're told, and it's obvious they've been told to ignore all things Moon.
Gorenfeld's site rocks, though.

GravatarAnd what's up with Charlie Rangel and Moon?

undersec. kei & sec. yuri

yeah, was just kind of strange to see the one person connected to this misadministration not known for the shitMidas touch, especially in ME affairs, admitting failure and stepping down

GravatarMichael Moore should make a documentary on Citizen Murdoch and Moon. Blair is toast. I can't believe progressives haven't tried to bring lots of sunshine on these meglomaniac shits.

GravatarEverybody in America needs to see this new video I found.

GravatarGod, I would love to see a Moon movie by Moore. If anyone knows how to get in touch with him...

GravatarWhat I don't get is why not just Weldon (and I've heard Rangel - but not confirmed) but a large number of congressmen thought it appropriate to hold this celebration of Moon in government buildings?

This must be more than just that Moon's rich as sin, and owns some powerful media outlets. Has he got something on these guys? Is he making large (illegal) contributions?
Has he got them hynotized?

Yes, we should be outraged (again, and again, and again) at the lack of media coverage.

Maybe somebody should sniff out whether anything is illegal here and fill a suitable lawsuit.

GravatarJohn, any luck getting in touch with the Philly City Paper to pitch them the story with a Weldon focused angle? Maybe with the assistance of a nationally famous local blogger?

Gravataratrios, you have to make the press pick it up. You have the power, remember?

GravatarI'm so sick of sharing a name with this ratbastard!

GravatarI used to be a constituent of Mr. Weldon (blecchh! I still spit when I say his name) in Delaware County. Every month his office sent me his "newsletter" (an egregious waste of trees), telling me how wonderful he was, and what sort of stuff he was up to. (No good.) I called them and said, please don't send any more, I already know how I feel about him, save those trees!! But no. Every month a newsletter, it went straight into the recycling bin.

The fact that he won Edgar's seat was a cause to weep. Still is.

GravatarAh, Kate, we were neighbors once. I grew up in Delaware County, and my mom thought Edgar was wonderful. My first political action was volunteering for Edgar's Senate campaign against Specter in 1986 when I was sixteen.

He's still doing great work, as chair of the liberal National Council of Churches (wait, here he is). I saw him on C-Span about a year ago giving a terrific speech on why the war was wrong from a religious/spiritual perspective. He definitely deserves more attention ...

GravatarWeldon's next line of defense will be that he was in a fugue state.

And after that, it will be that he's been assimilated by the Borg and is not responsible for any of his actions from henceforth.

What whores these folks are. In the fascist state they seem to be so complaisant about installing, they'd all be taken out and shot ... as soon as they were no longer useful to the folks they've been sucking up to. I can just imagine their plaintive whining, "but I've served you so well.... Please, pleeeaasssseee, just let me go". Grimas all.

Cheers,

Gravatarsdf - whaddaya know. [OT for others] What town? I grew up across the river in S. Jersey, but lived in various downtown Philly & outlying spots during college & grad school(s). During the year of that fateful election (on topic: Weldon, that swine) I was living in the beautiful old apartment complex where Dick Clark (Bandstand) and Ed McMahon lived when it was brand new right after WWII - Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill. Do you know it? Very integrated, and multi-cultural then, like the United Nations, grad students from all over the world. My brother, during that fateful year was a colleague of yours, also working on Bob Edgar's campaign; he lived in Morton then. [Yes, I saw Bob Edgar speak on teevee before this hideous war, pleading, making so much sense; there's a lot to admire in that man. I was so glad to see that he didn't disappear, that he was still fighting the good fight.]

Other Delco domiciles for me: Upper Darby, and a beautiful old house on Folsom Road within walking distance of Swarthmore College. Rentals all.

Now I live in AZ, which sucks because I'm such a Northeast girl, didn't even know how much so until I got stuck here. Every October I go through pain that's almost physical, I yearn for autumn and the crisp air. Sigh.

Are you still in the Northeast?

Gravatarsdf,

Yes, I pitched the Philly paper on Thursday. Haven't heard anything yet.

Can you believe the asinine arrogance of this thing, watching that latest video? Are these Congressmen just completely cocksure that no one's going to be watching this?

God, I want to be paid for this.

GravatarOT for most...wow, so many former neighbors! i'm from Kurt Weldon's district too (Upper Darby to be exact.) I moved someplace worse though: Central Pennsylvania. I had no idea dick clark lived in drexelbrook...it's kind of treated like a housing project now.

GravatarOT: In San Francisco there's a must-see film playing, called "The Corporation. " More radical than Fahrenheit 9/11. Ask for it at your local non-mega-plex theatre, if there is one.

I despise a system which has Kerry not daring to attack Bush with the true measure of his intellect, because he doesn't want to alienate the swing voters, those people who, after 3 years of Bush horror and idiocy, still don't recognize the worst presidency this country has ever had.

The media has a new playbook, and it's all about fast and cheap. Forget substance. Corporate commerce cuture has us all by the privates, and if anyone can see a realistic way out, I'd like to hear it.

GravatarThats it, before I thought it was a conspiracy theory, but this non-reporting of Moon activites just smells rotten. What kind of dirt does he have on so many people?

Fuck the media, its not liberal or conservative, its CRAP.

GravatarHawthorne, I might have to use that tagline.
