You aren't going to like this, or maybe even believe it, but please listen:
This campaign is in trouble, almost soley because of the corruption and complacency in the media. Kerry has been kicking Bush's ass, but it is going under-represented.
I am just one screaming voice in a sea of screaming voices, but I implore anyone who will listen to hammer home this point anywhere and everywhere they can:
The populist message that Bush and his record (not his party, even if it's true - that will alienate swing voters) stands for the rich and the privledged (the "anger meme" is still good, too). We are in a situation in which only a trickle of our message is going to get through, so it VERY, VERY important that we speak in the sound bites the media loves. The message also needs to be relevant and populist. HAMMER this MF'er and get focused like a laser beam.......

I'm sorry, but how the HELL do you have a domestic policy debate and NOT have a question about the environment. I realize that the questions were probably tailored to swing-state issues, but the environment is still one the of issues on which Bush is most vulnerable.

It seems like more pundits are willing to call it a draw and give Kerry props. I think the one comment I read,that Bush didn't stop Kerry's momentum, gets it right. Kerry won all three debates, but most important, everyone could envision him as the President.
I think JK is tired. He has looked tired for about a week. He should take few days off before the stretch run. Lots of dirt will be flying from Bushco now.

I've been watching the Cardinals, but the view portions I saw, Kerry looked very presidential. I loved his piece about the two greatest commandments, and how we haven't been living up to them under this preznit.
Also, Brian Williams reported that "our fact checkers uncovered a major mistake" about W's saying he never said he wasn't worried about bin laden. they showed the clip, it was sweet!

I really think that this debatewas the best of the three.Both candidates were pinned down to their positions more accurately.I think we saw Junior get pinned to a no idea position on most of his policies.The other ones he didnt get pinned to he dodged.

Just to be fair: I thought Bob Schieffer did a very good job. If he was biased in any way, I didn't detect it. Since Schieffer does have personal ties with Bush, I had been skeptical. So was Atrios. I'm glad we were wrong.

Only 10 per cent said that they were for Bush before the debates and were still for him. Just under 10,000 had voted thus far.

In my territory, flu shots are available only if you're on a doc's list as being on the "endangered" list (very young, over 65, ill, etc.). They're being very careful about it.

Just to be fair: I thought Bob Schieffer did a very good job. If he was biased in any way, I didn't detect it. Since Schieffer does have personal ties with Bush, I had been skeptical. So was Atrios. I'm glad we were wrong.
There really is something to be said for professionalism.
