Justice Through Music, www.jtmp.org, which strongly supports the democratic principles of transparency and honesty in the electoral process, is offering at least a $100,000 reward to any person or persons who provide conclusive and verifiable evidence that the results of the 2004 presidential election were not correctly tabulated because of one or more of the following reasons:
1) hacking into the voting machines;
2) software or coding problems with voting or tabulating machines;
3) multiple counting by machines or humans,
4) improperly implanted codes in voting machines;
5) tampering with voting machines, voting cards or final tabulation numbers;
6) officials or machines not counting all the votes or adding votes;
7) official influence which changed vote totals, or
other problems with vote tabulation not noted here.
All information and evidence should be submitted to reward@jtmp.org. Questions should be submitted to questions@jtmp.org.

I just heard Joe Trippi (Democrat) and Molinari (republican) on MSNBC. Trippi made an obviously lame effort to defend our demanding a recount - (lame) as you might expect of one of Kerry's top advisors.
Molinari was saying that liberal bloggers have wacky election fraud conspiracy theories for which there is no evidence, and that after this is all over we should hold them accountable.
So, even if there is a ton of suspect shit - don't you dare demand a recount or raise suspicions.
C'mon folks, be careful - you know how much our left wing media and our politicians hate people who cry wolf. And they will punish those who do. hehe

Recently many democrat leaders and many liberal blog leaders have been warning us to drop the "election fraud" issue and now they are warning us to back off of the Gonzalez appointment. Hey, have you ever wondered why they are so often telling us to "back off" on so many hugely important things? I know, I know - it's "strategy", but what I mean is... Is that really a good strategy and are all of them really being sincere: having our best interests at heart? I'm not so sure anymore.
And if you have been following the republicans you might have noticed that they are somewhat vicious and they attack at every opportunity. Like African Bees. Hey, hmmmn....it seems to have worked for them.
Oh well... I guess I just don't understand - when will it be time for us to get in their face? What are we waiting for? What do they have to do? How far do they have to go?

You know, are there any Christian Liberals out there?
It's a completely unrelated topic, but I consider myself Christian, and the more that this country is put through as a result of Bush and a number of conservatives, the more I find myself leaning to the left.
Thing is, I know there have to be Christians who disagree with Bush and the fundamentalists. There have to be people who believe that "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and "Love one another as I have loved you" are Christ's main points.
I can't quite bring myself to believe that all Christians despise gay people, think that women should have to give birth whether it's safe for them or not, and are so filled with their own self-righteousness that they cannot see that they may, just may possibly, be wrong.
Still, I'm holding that Jesus' teaching had and have merit, that being peaceful and trying to do good towards your fellow man (and woman) is worthwhile. Whatever happened to forgiving someone 70 x 7 times for their sins?

Then I read Asia times and Pepe Escobar reminds us that all is not well in Allawi's playland, things are worse than you are being told. the Pakis are non-committal which likely means things arn't good, but Musharraf thinks better of saying so.

This is a "must have" reference for going head to head with fundies.
Another really great book is "The Bible Tells Me So: the Uses and Abuses of Scripture". This one documents dueing Bible quotes on almost any controversial topic there is.

I'm no Christian, but Christianity is not really inherently conservative/right. The right in this country has simply hijacked that religion, using it to justify their attempts to impose every last detail of their personal moral codes regarding sex and reproduction on the public at large.

First, andy. your point of sitting tight and letting Dubya run amok is the simple answer for those of us not meshed into the political system.

I've been following the election numbers reported by CNN and CSPAN as returns are compiled and amended over the last week. Kerry is slowly but consistently gaining ground. The results can be seen at

Kerry is slowly but surprisingly consistently gaining ground, getting ~53.5% of the updated count.
Bush's lead in 2-way vote climbed down from over 3.1% to less than 2.9% already.
Several recent updates had Kerry gaining in counts by 6 to 1 to as high as 9 to 1. I am looking forward to the count of the provisional and overseas ballots. Let us see what the final "mandate" is.
As of Nov 12 there have been NO post-election-night updates of the Ohio count.
In Florida, Kerry's loss increased by ~5000.

If you can split the GOP with another conservative third party, then the Clinton strategy would work again.
And as far as these people saying if we go liberal we'll be the second party...newsflash, we've lost the house for 10 years, we don't control a single branch of gov't, aside from Clinton(who basically had a conservative agenda) we're in the middle of the third decade of the GOP backlash. We are the second party, sad to say. And sad to say, the moderate idea didn't work. It's not just losing the house, or Gore losing or Kerry. What we have is a clear indication the moderate strategy doesn't win. Good people have dedicated themselves to it, many still want to believe in it, but it's not working. Look to the past.
Liberalism was so successful that we ran this country for the better part of the last century. We were so effective, out of the depression, SS, medicare, civil rights..on and on. We became the establishment and the official policy. But as all establishments go, there are good times and bad times, and we've had a bad last 25 years. For the past 12 you've seen a concerted effort to switch gears and go moderate, adopting free trade and all the rest. With Cliton winning it looked like we might be on to something...but it was just a fluke. Perot happened. Time to return to what made us strong, what we really stand for.

South Dakota had some interesting presidential results. 316 thousand voted for President in 2000. 388 thousand in 2004. One of the largest increases of any state. Pretty amazing when you consider that South Dakota has had essentially zero population growth.
Also, Wyoming had a 104% turnout of its registered voters.
Of the 31 Bush states, 25 had increases of more than 10% over 2000. Only one showed a decrease, Alaska.
Of the 20 Kerry states, only 9 had increases of over 10%. In the Kerry states, the increases in the votes for President was pretty much directly correlated to the closeness of the presidential state races. Wisconsin, Minnesota and New Hampshire posted healthy Red State-like gains of approximately 15%, 16%and 21% respectively.
Incredibly, there were actually blue states that had fewer voters for President than in 2000. More incredibly, they were solidly blue California and Washington. Another, solidly blue and 9-11 embattled New York posted a gain of less than 1%. Similarly burdened DC was up only 2%. Other solid blue states showing somewhat middling gains were Vermont, up about 5%, RI up about 6%, Mass. up almost 7%. The red states showing middling blue-state type increases were the decidedly non-battlegrounds of Kansas, Louisiana, Montana, Nebraska and North Dakota, none with a hot senatorial race.
Maybe smoking guns can be found somewhere else more easily than Ohio. At this point, getting a chunk of Republican party machinery hauled off to jail might be even better than the presidency.

Ingredients:
1 12 oz can pink salmon
2 Whole eggs
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons yellow corn meal
1/2 teaspoon salt (depending upon the
brand and how much salt is in it you
can leave this out if you want.
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
You basically pour all of the ingredients into
a large bowl and mix them. A large spoon or a
potato masher worked fine. I add the flour last
because I sometimes adust the amount to control the
consistency. Mold the dough-like mix that you
end up with into patties (like thick homemade
hamburgers).
Coat a frying pan with a little cooking oil. Crisco
works just fine. Preheat the oiled pan over medium
heat. Slip the patties into the pan, fitting as
many as you can but leaving room to turn them. Cook
until medium brown on one side, then turn over and
do the same to the other side.
Then eat them, and if you are in the military, you should eat them quick, because I hear the food over there sucks, which is another reason I'm not going.

There will be no more of the teaching of evolution in school, because we good christians all know that the world was made between 5 and 6 thousand years ago, and that leaves no room for evolution. Okay spork, just for you I will add a vegatarian recipie, but I don't think God or George Bush would approve (I'm sure they would have one of their little pow-wows about it). Anyway, here you go..
Eggplant Croquettes:
INGREDIENTS:
2 medium eggplants, peeled and cubed
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons dried parsley
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS:
Place eggplant in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on medium-high 3 minutes. Turn eggplant over and microwave another 2 minutes. The eggplant should be tender, cook another 2 minutes if the eggplants are not tender. Drain any liquid from the eggplants and mash.
Combine cheese, bread crumbs, eggs, parsley, onion, garlic and salt with the mashed eggplant. Mix well.
Shape the eggplant mixture into patties. Heat oil in a large skillet. Drop eggplant patties one at a time into skillet. Fry each side of the patties until golden brown, approximately 5 minutes on each side. Patties can be frozen before frying and cooked later.
