Before I hired in at the borg I had an interview in White Plains. The trip involved a subway trip, a Metro North ride, and a cab ride (because the job was six miles from the train station and there was no local transportation). Sometimes the combo of heat and wind dry them out so that you no longer want the plants. What I've started to do is to dump them in areas I 'might' want to start gardening in, water them. Sometimes they'll make a recovery after a few weeks or months. I've gotten some nice patches of what appears to be permanent flowers growing in those spots.

GravatarI have no sympathy for those who would commute such distances. 6 hours a day in a car doing nothing. One estimate is that we spend 60 hours a month commuting. That is 1 to 1 1/2 weeks of lost productivity, sleep, or quality time with your family. This is guy is up to about 120 wasted hours a month.
