Blog Author [and not Blogger]? Is that done on the Judo Range? Has the Horse Doctor been contacted? Maybe we could get a Newspaper Writer to do a conversation story on him, and a picture taker can immortalize and flatten his image.

the point here that is still be obfuscated by the right wing lying machine is that a well-known conservative commentator was given public funds to promote a position. so a couple of private consultants took some privately raised money to promote their candidate?
Is this more crony capitalism or is this a serious surveillence concern
FBI surveillance experts have put their once-controversial Carnivore Internet surveillance tool out to pasture, preferring instead to use commercial products to eavesdrop on network traffic, according to documents released Friday.

Dan Dierdorf is a complete idiot. "Was that a 28 yard field goal"
"No, that was last week!"
I remember listening to him once do an ABC Wide World of Sports boxing match -- I think one of the fighters was Lennox Lewis. He kept calling the clinches as "lovey dovey, huggy" or something. This totally pissed off his competebt co-announcer, I think his name as Wallou (spelling? and could the first name possibly been Wally?)

Why is it that everyone "assumes" that right-wing pundits read? Let alone keep up-to-date with current affairs?
Of course, that those on the left were doing "something" means that its wrong...I wonder if they too are guilty of their own rules as well.
Its the smoke and mirrors routine. Their guy got caught with his hand in the cookie-jar that was being fed from Federal coffers. So now they have to find some trivial nuiance the left was doing and paint it up to look as if the Left was far more guilty than their shill.
It doesn't matter that they haven't a legal, morale, or ethical point. Their rank-and-file believers will come to the conclusion, based on the facts given by those they trust, that the Left is guilty of far worst deeds and that what their guy did is nothing but trivial.
The sad fact is that their scam will win the hearts and minds of the intended audiance..which is not the Left.
You're all being baited into an argument you can't win. Turn the tables on them instead.

I think TalkLeft understates the level of wankerdom coming from Hugh Hewitt. If you stop by his blog, he talks about the "Kos/Armstrong/Williams" controversy, like they are one thing. Talk about disingenous. And of course all his commentary is directed at Kos. What slime ball.

***Strange things on the radio overseas...Bush was admitting that a lot of his First Term rhetoric was way off base?
That his use of "bring it on" was not the tone he intended to set?
There were many other "quotes" that Bush himself addressed that was quite shocking to hear him admit he was wrong in the way in which he used it.***
Rove told him that not being able to think of any mistakes he had made wasn't playing well. So they prepped for the Baba Wawa interview and the inevitable question by agreeing to admit to a "mistake" as a symbolic gesture of pseduo-humility. Not the invasion & war or the lies about WMD or the abuses of prisoners or the casualties on both sides...
...but, you know, sorry that "bring it on" thing was misinterpreted.
That's my take on it, anyway.

Pie,
I take it that what I heard on the radio over here wasn't meant for US audiances? I find that strange. Maybe it'll be aired in a couple of days in the US?
It was an interview of some type and Bush was being quite frank. He even mentioned that after one zinger, Laura let into him. I was taken back and didn't pay attention to spefics about what the interview was. What was being said was an eye opener. They alluded to the fact that some of his famous quotes were off the cuff, like Bring it On, while others , such as Axis of Evil, were from his speech writers.
I was just amazed that he was admitting on the radio that some of the things he had said during his first term did more to stir the pot than it did to settle things down.
Chances are, it may be aired tomorrow and Monday. The military is quite redundant about repeating messages and programs at the very least 3 times in as many consecutive days.
...but, you know, sorry that "bring it on" thing was misinterpreted.
Yep, Bush's only mistake, aside form hiring bozos like O'Neill & Clarke, was in saying something which could be twisted by the shamelessly amoral liberal media into sounding just a *teensy* bit belligerent and un-statesmanlike...

Who is in a better position to take action on this? Not the media or the blogs.
However, there are some Democrats in the Legislature, both House and Senate, that are itching to pick a fight with the Republicans on the respective floors. A fight that they don't have to defend for a change, but can heap a whole lotta hurt on Republicans.
We all need to start supporting those Democrats. By doing so, we will turn the tables on the Republicans. Squabbling over the internet is what Republicans expect of Democrats, but taking definite steps using legal, parlimentary actions on the House and Senate floors will get their attention .
There's nothing more infuriating that a cocky minority party that wields its clout like its a majority. That's the first step in turning the tables.
If that's too hard, then go back to your squabbling.

Maybe what we should do is focus attention on Armstrong, before defending the bloggers. Let them see what the more important problem is. And the key phrase, in my opinion, is "using our tax dollars". Hammer that one all the time -- they're taking our tax dollars and using them to spread their propaganda! They're stealing our tax money!"

Hugh has just written a book called "Blog" which makes him the world's foremost expert on blogs, and therefore the guy whom people like O'Reilly are going to call whenever they want to discuss blogs. Hugh's premise is that blogs killed the radio star ... I mean, mainstream media. They did it by exposing the mainstream media's liberal bias, as demonstrated by KerningGate.
Hugh is not just a blog "expert" and major Bushite, he is also an evangelical Christian who wants to make goverment more religious. And he is a big fan of Little Green Footballs. Therefore, he's a major, big-time wanker.
