I'MMA LET YOU FINISH

So what is Bush doing pissing all over Putin?

Does John Bolton wear a hairpiece?

Does John Bolton wear a hairpiece?

Just across his upper lip.

WHy was a vet -- Hackworth -- taking treatment for bladder cancer in Tijuana Mexico when he lived in Greenwich, CT? Did Fredo cut military medical benefits for retirees, too?

Gravatargmail doesn't work either.

GravatarDid Fredo cut military medical benefits for retirees, too?

Maybe just for ones who aren't good Republicans...

GravatarYay for cutting down national forests.

Gravatarfrist?

GravatarYeah, google is having DNS problems.. you can go to http://64.233.161.104/ to use the search, though.

GravatarRes he might have been trying something not yet approved here.

Gravatarwhat the hell is bush talking about these days? the way wwii ended wasn't ideal, but the priority at the time was to end hostilities. is he saying it would have been better to have just switched to fighting the soviets after germany was defeated?

GravatarRes,

Folks go to Tijuana for 'non-traditional' cancer treatments (such as laetrile), usually when the usual treaments have failed.

GravatarCalling Dr. Mortimer Post

A post mortem on Blair's rebuke and the British election.

GravatarThat picture of the Bugman is creeping me out.

GravatarWhich closeted blogger has started making frequent references to 'girl-watching' to fend off being outed?
[...] We hammered out a good hard pace most of the way, except when it was necessary to slow down through Manhattan Beach and make sure all those California girls playing volleyball were using the proper technique. (They were, but it took a while to decide.)

GravatarDoes John Bolton wear a hairpiece?

That's not exactly hair. That's just the back end of a squirrel he once swallowed and never could digest.

GravatarGotta jet. My palek paneer awaits. Back later, Liberal Elitists!

GravatarIf I remember correctly, Steve McQueen also sought out experimental treatment for cancer in Mexico...many years ago

GravatarBTW, the budget just passed also cuts funding to the VA, again.

GravatarThe Cornerites try to make a funny against James Wolcott as I found, they failed, as miserable as ever

GravatarAHHHHHhhhhh... another great FREE COMIC BOOK DAY in the can! Nothing like a sea of kids with happy faces getting free comic books! What a great day!

Where's my beer?

Diane ...

People are still trying laetrile? Shit. My dad went down there to get laetrile for my mom in 1976. Didn't work, unfortunately.

GravatarThat's not exactly hair. That's just the back end of a squirrel he once swallowed and never could digest.

That's hardly surprising. Isn't abuse and torture of small animals a marker of psychotic behavior?

I'm not snarking, either. That guy seriously creeps me out. As does the new pope. The guy has the eyes of a creepazoid.

GravatarRIL,

How much did you win?

Has Bush embarassed us yet?

I spent the day gardening; it was great.

Everyone, please read the New Yorker's three-part series on global warming, especially last week's installation on global drought. You'll understand why the 06 elections count so much.

Gravatar"is he saying it would have been better to have just switched to fighting the soviets after germany was defeated?"

There were many people who advocated tht, IIRC Patton and/or McArthur. Hazey on that again.

But it sure looks like Bush is trying to stir everything up. He is doing a verbal shove, how long before Putin really shoves back.

I suspect the Russian relationship with Iran is becoming a serious thorn for Bush. He is being road blocked. But then his Sec. of State should have seen that coming, she is supposed to be an expert in cold war issues.

GravatarRes,

I doubt laetrile is currently being used, but the clinics that tried it are still there with other treatments that can't or won't pass muster here in the States.

I've a friend who's down there right now, and, I have to admit, she is looking better.

GravatarFuck the new pope with an enraged altar boy.

GravatarKristof has noticed that the vatican is plain stupid in their opposition to condoms, and notes the number of aids orphans worldwide. He also gives the church credit for their 3rd world work with the poor and hungry.

With his usual blindness however, he fails to notice that there would be as many hungry and destitute if the church didn't fight so hard against birth control.

Asshat.

GravatarI spent the day gardening; it was great.

I sent the day sitting and watching the birdies getting blown around by the nor'easter.

I'm.. bored.

Heh. Not enough Lilliputians around to bind Gulliver.

So, best transsex/transvestite movie?

I know what I'm watching tonight.

or, you could use dogpile! www.dogpile.com is a meta engine, and doens't (i think) have some of the slightly evil marketing/sponsorship practices as google does.

And I suspect you are correct. I would add only that the creeping re-nationalization of oil and natural gas going on in Russia has Bushco annoyed as well.

Amazon owns 50% of my soul and Google owns the other 50%.. and I'm cool with that.

GravatarAnd I suspect you are correct. I would add only that the creeping re-nationalization of oil and natural gas going on in Russia has Bushco annoyed as well.

I bet some nice juicy Halliburton contracts would clear that right up.

GravatarSteve McQueen tried laetrile. Of course, it was a last ditch effort.

As it is with most people who have some bucks and can experiment.

Sad that he died so long ago and there is still no sure cure.

This will be the first time that I won't be able to send a card, a present, and when possible, to deliver hugs and kisses to my mom.

Rest in peace, my sweet mama.

Night, all.

See you guys later.

If you want to see something that fits right into this, see Ba'al's post in the John 1: Microsoft Bastards 0 thread.

I was not angry since I came to France. Until this instant.

Hope I got the trackback thing right.

Gravatarradsaq,

You can come help me put in the morning glories and moonflowers tomorrow morning! Not boring at all.
I have a momma bunny and at least one baby bunny hanging out near my parsley patch who will keep you entertained for hours. And then there's the pair of cardinals who are making a nest. And some robins. Of course, it helps if, like moi, you are easily amused.....

GravatarEli

I am beginning to wonder about certain groups of people who are now long retired. I am wondering if they are looking at what was likely their voting choice and wishing to hell they had gone the other direction. The 50-60's era of the cold war seems to be coming on line again, piece by piece. Putin is restoring the Soviet Union, China is likely to tell us to flip off anytime now, the mid-east is a bust. The LGF-ers are talking about nuclear options like they are firecrackers and separatism and theocratic rationalization coupled with commiserate nationalism is becoming fact. The stage is being set by both incompetence and design. I am very glad at this point I do not have children.

Gravatarpie - Goodnight. Sweet dreams - I know this first Mother's Day is sad.

GravatarI just noticed that the Dutch are protesting Bush's visit to their WW2 cemetery. Too fucking right.

GravatarI am beginning to wonder about certain groups of people who are now long retired.

I was really hoping for a lot more help from them in 2004. I thought self-interest and "I've seen this before and it didn't work out so good" might outweigh narrow-minded and ultimately irrelevant moral considerations. Guess not.

GravatarMoose,

That's one of my favorite lines, ever. I was not angry since I came to France. Used after the French murdered the child pages against the rules of war. I've felt for the last five years as if I were not angry since I came to France. We'll be able to undo, at great cost, but possible, much of Bush's evil. But he may manage to screw the environment in ways that we won't be able to repair before they kill us. I hate him and I curse him to ineffectiveness.

GravatarMoose, that was horrible.

I hate fuckers like that.

GravatarI have a momma bunny and at least one baby bunny hanging out near my parsley patch who will keep you entertained for hours. And then there's the pair of cardinals who are making a nest. And some robins. Of course, it helps if, like moi, you are easily amused.....

Awesome! Can I um.. skip the planting part and just take photos of the cute birdies and bunnies? :D

That is, after all, what I'd like to be doing here (although I haven't seen any bunnies in a while)..

GravatarMeanwhile in darkest Spokane. . .

GravatarMoose,

Yes, he has taken a crap on what America was supposed to be. But he's killing the friggin' cardinals and that's every bit as bad, if not worse, in my book. Fuck him.

Gravatarradsaq,

You can take all the pics you like, but you really should try digging in the dirt and talking to the seeds.

GravatarBut he may manage to screw the environment in ways that we won't be able to repair before they kill us. I hate him and I curse him to ineffectiveness.
Hecate

There that, and there's what he's doing to the core of what I held dear about America. He dropped his drawers and took a mighty crap on my country's legacy.

Sure, I've never been enough of a star-struck mook to overlook the crappy things the U.S. has done in the name of Manifest Destiny, etc., but I thought we were really going in the direction of making a shining city on the hill.

Mobilizing the entire country to combat fascism and racism (WWII), trying to eliminate racism at home (integrating the Armed Forces, JFK, Johnson's Civil Rights Bill), environmentalism (hell, even Nixon pitched in here).

Then along comes Bush and acts like Hitler on a bender. Crap, I thought we we over waging war in the name of naked power grabs after the Spanish-American War. Sooo.. Angry.. Hulk Smash!

If it weren't for the company gentle souls like you that can still delight in the simple and amazing spectacle of cardinals flitting from branch to branch, I'd probably have ended up on CNN's parade of stupid spectacles by now.

Thank god THAT asshole wasn't in charge.

We'd be part of the Third Reich today!

GravatarSo what is Bush doing pissing all over Putin?
chris/tx |

Because Putin won't kiss his ass?

Preznit Asshat thinks every other country in the world is a colony of the US and its leaders have to take orders from him.

GravatarI'm sorry....THEIR leaders

Gravataris he saying it would have been better to have just switched to fighting the soviets after germany was defeated?
Olaf glad and big

A whole fucking lot of people believed just that, no less among them than Gen D. MacArthur (Army), Gen. Curtis LeMay (AF), & Adm H. Rickover (Navy/Marines)...

it's a bloody fucking miracle the western Allies didn't try to invade the CCCP after wwII...

Gravatarwell turns out the sugary scorching was good for the chicken, and so might a little scorching of the hides of our leaders be. we should continue in our commitment to make them as uncomfortable as possible whenever we can.

my head hurts a lot, me go bed now.
