Gravataranybody seen that bottle of troll repellant?

GravatarLiberal Bias KILLS.
Time to stop it before it kills you and your family.
.
David Patterson

Drunk drivers kill more efficiently.

GravatarThis attack on Karl Rove is an example of how the Liberal Media sets the agenda, and conservative Christians are being persecuted by a multi-cult internationalist crew of biased lefties.
.

Gravatar(multi-cult?)

GravatarShould Rove really be allowed to be involved in selecting one of the judges who may hear his appeal?

GravatarYou liberals WISH someone with the skills of Rove were on your side. But, since you do not have one, you lose. Oh, poor pitiful you. We won, and you cannot accept this.
.

GravatarFuck you patterson, you imbecile.

There is no such thing as liberal media.

What a fucking asshole you are.

GravatarFrank Rich NAILS it!

damn that's good words

Gravatarinternationalist crew of biased lefties

Yeah, that's probably about right...not the white christian party, that's for sure

GravatarThe Liberal Media has you all brainwashed. You spout all theser lies and defend it like the truth, ho! What BIAS! What arrogance! How typically liberal.
.

GravatarMore like rove has the right brainwashed, as well as enlisted in a cult.

GravatarDavid Patterson IS a GOP talking point.

Take it to a blog that cares Mr. Pattercake.

GravatarKeep denying that the MSM is largely liberal. How else can you explain the support for such silly notions as socialism and hating our troops? Yes, Dan Rather has a posse, and they are rolling out bias. We are not fooled.
.

GravatarOh, poor pitiful you. We won, and you cannot accept this.
.
David Patterson

I can't accept that the United States has become a one party system like the former Soviet Union and Communist China.

GravatarLiberal bias will be your downfall. Your arogance cannot survive the test of scrutiny by the Heartland and the True Americans. Go jump into the ocean, coastal elites!
.

GravatarPoor porrr pitiful xtians, cant get their religion across because they are so full of shit, they have to enlist the aids of the rebublicans.

GravatarOh, poor pitiful you. We won, and you cannot accept this.
.
David Patterson

Dave? If we just all acknowledge that you won - will you go away and leave us alone - forever?

Thank you.

GravatarLiberals are trying to band Christianity and replace it with Muslim. This is why the hope the terrorists will win, here at home, and supplant our country's founding values with those of leftist Moors.
.

GravatarHow many boys has patterson molested in the last week?

GravatarI was interested in serving dessert to the new thread, and all I see is troll shit.

GravatarSurely as many as his pastor has.

GravatarSo there are a half dozen trolls and a couple of Atriots? Hmmm. Let me see, maybe we can outnumber them.

Gravatar How many boys has patterson molested in the last week?
smalfish©

Counting himself?

GravatarI was interested in serving dessert to the new thread, and all I see is troll shit.

big stinking piles of troll shit.

GravatarMoral Values are back in style! Haven't you noticed? Nobody wants to buy your "art" that is actually kiddie porn and sacriligious, crucifix in a bottle of pee pee and illustrations of young boys engaging in acts of perversion with their elders. This is how you hope to bring our country down. Keep trying, we are much stronger in the heartland!
.

GravatarTrue, unfortunately.

"Liberals are simply not serious about intelligence, warfare, or national security. They can pretend all they like; they can bloviate about bioweapons detectors in subway tubes and more inspections of cargo containers 'till the cows come home in an effort to show they're "serious" about defending this country."

GravatarGotta be a parody.

GravatarNext GOP talking point coming your way via Mr. PatterBot:

Patrick Fitzgerald is a Liberal Operative.

Is their no end end of treason they will not try to excuse?
Is it ALL politics to them?

Like Rich says.. the crime isn't against the Wilsons, it's against the American people, you and me... and even Mr. PatterBot.

Gravatar"Liberal bias will be your downfall. Your arogance cannot survive the test of scrutiny by the Heartland and the True Americans. Go jump into the ocean, coastal elites!"

Do you have any idea how Maoist you sound? Almost as imspirational as Lin Biao of the "gang of four".

Gravatarsmalfish©,

Patterson is inept parody.

Gravatarwow, this is what passes for trollery around these parts? (I've been away for a while)

I think you have to at least try to sound sincere, Patterson. You just sound like you drank two gallons of the purple sugar water.

GravatarEvening Moonbats, seems this story is not going away very soon. I hope they all fry for the deceit.

GravatarI am flashbacking to Nixon now!

Flash flash flash...impeach...flash.

Another winner, grytpype!

GravatarWilson and his wife, the so-called secret agent, are merely liberals who interfere with the proper governance of this nation. Their bias has been exposed and they, like typical liberals, engage in attacks without any facts to support them. How typical.
.

GravatarDavid Patterson,

Let me introduce myself.

I am Madame DeFarge. May I knit you a neck scarf?

GravatarIt is now clear: There has been an element of pretense to the White House strategy of dealing with the Plame case since the earliest days of the saga. Revelations emerging slowly at first, and in a rapid cascade over the past several days, have made plain that many important pieces of the puzzle were not so mysterious to Rove and others inside the Bush administration. White House officials were aware of Plame and her husband's potentially damaging charge that Bush was "twisting" intelligence about Iraq's nuclear ambitions well before the episode evolved into Washington's latest scandal

From that wapo article.

It does seem as if this story is not going away.

I could not be happier for it.

I am gleefuly jumping with joy, that bush et al is going down in the flames they themselves ignited.

GravatarLiberals should leave this country and find their socialist paradise elsewhere. We, The People, believe in hard work and keeping what you earn. Taxation and Eminent Domain are theft. Yet, you liberals support both. Who hates America, and who loves her? The people have already decided -- AND VOTED. Losers.
.

GravatarMerikan Patriot was funny as hell.

Patterson is a party pooper who is boring and poops.

GravatarFrom wapos new treasongate:
"A day later, Cheney's top aide, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, told Cooper he had heard the same thing about Plame, and a senior administration official flagged the role of Wilson's wife, almost in passing, to The Washington Post's Walter Pincus."

A wapo reporter, pincus, was told about plame by a "senior administration official", but wapo won't tell us who that was. Was it turd blossom? Why won't they tell us!

Also:
In private, the senior White House adviser [rove] was meeting, on five occasions, with federal prosecutors to tell what he knew about the matter.

Wow, ove was questioned 5 times! Plus a whole parade of bush admin officials were also be questioned by fritz with hardly a mention, if any, in the press.

GravatarIt's not about them, David.
It's about keeping our country together and strong.
You have a problem with that?

GravatarWow, David Patterson is back. How exciting.

I miss the overwritten gobbledygook he used to spout, though. It so much more entertaining than the random Spambot cliche-fest he's got going on this thread.

GravatarWhy does President AWOL need a criminal defense lawyer?
-

GravatarLiberals are trying to band Christianity and replace it with Muslim. This is why the hope the terrorists will win, here at home, and supplant our country's founding values with those of leftist Moors.
.
David Patterson

Hey David come on over to my house and par-tay. I've got the mother-of-all-bongs, a growler of the local microbrew. We can read passages from the bible and laugh at them together.

Afterwods we can slip into something ore comforatable...

GravatarPoor troll can't even muster up the intelligent thoughts of a single cell organism.

GravatarI was just going to say that too many soups ruin the poop... but then Patterson arrived.
.

GravatarAnd don't forget, you liberals on the coasts should shut up. You are not real Americans. Those in the heartland who support liberal traitors? Go to NYC and go gay and smoke pot. We are family oriented, strong, patriotic and unbiased here, not to mention intellectually rigorous and knowedgeable of the Constitution and the Free Market and Economics. Liberals have a bunch of airy fairy ideas of reality that have been proven wrong by the real world again and again, yet they intend to use these lies to brainwash our children and young adults to support Communism. And gayness. How biased.
.

GravatarLiberal Bias drapes beautifully, and is most flattering to the figure.

GravatarElaine,

Does seem that way to me as well. The story begins simply enough: but then there are more and more stories furthering the original.

Someone today had an interesting thought: they stated that this was similar to Watergate in the sense that "someone" was mad about losing the war in VietNam. This anger enabled the furthering of the story. In this instance: the Iraqi Qwagmire is intensifying the action.

But I am feeling like '72 again

GravatarWow, David Patterson is back. How exciting.

It's not Patterson.

It's just some other idiot that thinks it's being cute.

GravatarAlgonquin J. Cockholster is on the thread below

GravatarThe White House response was swift. There is a simple rule in politics: Kill a story before it kills you. The Bush team spread word to reporters that Wilson was a Democrat, a supporter of Bush's political opponents who was sent on an inconclusive mission that people in power knew nothing of.

Remind you of someones talking points?

GravatarWhen will we ever resist the need to talk to moronic trolls? They have their world of unreality and adore being lied to and spun by the likes of Oxycontin (sp?) man and embrace this fake world. Let them be. How about some smart talk?

GravatarScoty McClellan's talked to the grand jury. That's why he has that scared look, and he hasn't been around lately.

Ari has talked to the grand jury, and declines to comment, even though the law and custom allows him to talk about his testimony all he wants.
-

GravatarPatterson is really the least entertaining of the current crop of monkeys. We used to get some fun little pets but lately they're just tiresome. David is truly a bore.

GravatarWow, Rove was questioned 5 times! Plus a whole parade of bush admin officials were also be questioned by fritz with hardly a mention, if any, in the press.

Boy, I'll bet they've really got the goods on David Corn now!

GravatarDP is a parody troll, except he isnt funny..

GravatarDrink some more Koolaid liberals, and imagine the Hitlery will be president. We will wake you up like a splash of warm water -- or even peepee -- in the face.

Reality! Come and get some, libbies!
.

GravatarYou can call me boring, but facts and reality are boring at times -- to deluded types like liberal lefties.
.

GravatarActually George Bush Kills...

GravatarDP is a parody troll, except he isnt funny..

You forgot: "and not even worth responding to".

GravatarNo, liberalism kills. It is a mental disorder that causes people to act against their own interests.
.

GravatarI've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Parody trolls are about as funny as parody farters.

...Merkin Patriot excepted, of course... most of the time.

GravatarYou mean like working class people voting for Commander Codpiece?

GravatarLiberal bias not real? Two words: Dan Rather!
.

GravatarIgnore Davie. He's just a kid. You can tell by his informational mistakes and bad spelling. Few adults would post that poorly.

"band" Christianity? What the hell does that mean?

Are you saying that you hope the terrorists win here at home? Are you talking about the Unibomber and/or McVeigh?

Islam is the religion; muslim is a follower of the religion.

And I guess they just taught you in school about the Moors of Morocco, or are you talking about the English moors? No Moors in Iraq, dearie. And definitely no Moors in Pakistan.

Why not go out and buy the new Harry Potter book. It's closer to your educational level. Leave the political blogs to the grownups. This is what happens on weekends when kids don't have to go bed at 9PM and can stay up and fuck around all the whilst showing just how stupid they are.

GravatarPatterson, if your so vehemently anti liberal, why not put some action behind your words?I'm sure you own a gun.Why not put it to use?

GravatarIn the great words of the philosopher, Barbra Bush,

"Mr. Patterson... I am through with you."

GravatarDP,

You must be OD'ing on that date rape drug, cause you are getting fucked and you dont even know it!!

GravatarPatterson is really the least entertaining of the current crop of monkeys. We used to get some fun little pets but lately they're just tiresome. David is truly a bore.
Tena

He used to be pretty funny, IMO--back when he used to talk about the synchronous bleating of aimless sheep in random lockstep with the abject intellectusl poverty of multicultural orthodoxy--but now he's back to sounding like some sort of Commodore 64 program that's been fed outtakes from Michael Savage.

Someone needs to call LJ up for an exorcism...she intimidated him so thoroughly that he vanished that very night, and stayed away for months.

I like the idea that Karl Rove's "effectiveness" is something we envy. Not his honesty, mind you...just his "effectiveness." Typical moral nihilism from these clowns.

GravatarLiberals are trying to band Christianity and replace it with Muslim. This is why the hope the terrorists will win, here at home, and supplant our country's founding values with those of leftist Moors.
David Patterson

Evening moonbats.

I’ve been away for a bit, so is this one a really real troll? Or just a haloscan ghost spewing random, discredited idiocy? I mean, “... is that a Mexican poncho or is that a Sears poncho?”

If it’s a really real one, man, when did the quality control people at the troll factory start huffing gasoline?

Gravatar"effectiveness" has been the dominant morality in the west for 500 years.

GravatarThat's fookin' embarassing.....

GravatarHey, drifty! Good to sees ya!
.

Gravatarare you into high treason, or are you high on treason, david patterson?

GravatarYo, Rip -- what's the latest scoop?

Gravatar"effectiveness" has been the dominant morality in the west for 500 years.
dan

Very true. And rejecting it has been the work of sane, humane people the whole time.

GravatarPhila,

It's not Patterson.

GravatarJP, well met! I assume Curly has removed you from the house while he has a kitty spahtetti party for his new friends... ???

GravatarJust a note: I will be gone from tomorrow morning until next Friday. Anyone posting under my name is not me. (I will be on an island in Lake Huron without access)

I hope this scandal continues to intensify in my absence. Have a good week late night Atriots. (Trolls? Go fuck yourselves - it is the only lovin' you'll ever get anyway.)

GravatarWe won, and you cannot accept this.

Patterson, you ignorant slut. Did you just "accept" it when Clinton won in '92 and Democrats controlled everything? I think not.

Your side did what we're doing now: organize for the next election. And it worked.

And now you realize it could work for us too, and you're just scared to death.

GravatarPatterson, will you continue to support traitors after indictments are handed down? Why do you hate America?

GravatarDoesn't it just suck that all of us "coastal leftie elites" are the ones creating the wealth in this country while the fucking heartland cons are just a bunch of welfare sucking criminals that support traitors in the WH?

Obviously anyone that supports Bushco and supports destroying a world-wide intelligence network tracking WMD is objectively pro-terrorist and clearly an enemy of America.

Gravataror spaGhetti.... yeesh....

GravatarWould you stupid people quit feeding it?

GravatarI think we (the US, or maybe just human beans in general who bought the concept) took a severely wrong turn when we bought into the idea that perception is reality.

Weird, that. It's like everyone has to agree to it, or it's meaningless.

GravatarRipley: JP, well met! I assume Curly has removed you from the house while he has a kitty spahtetti party for his new friends... ???

Yeah, you never know about what he's up to... and the GL-1 can only videotape an hour at a time, unsupervised. The other day, I came in... the Atomic Clock was off the wall! I'm just glad the damned thang didn't detonate when it landed.
.

GravatarSince no one is really focusing on a topic here, I'll bring up my laptop problems. The adaptor cord won't stay plugged in, it falls out, so I can't recharge it. Not sure if the problem is inside the laptop, or with the adaptor plug. Anyone ever have this problem? It's an HP Pavilion.

GravatarHey, Jeffraham Prestonian.
Back atcha.

Best of Chris Walken on SNL. I'm so tumescent right now that I dare not turn around too quickly/

GravatarThe latest, JP, is a 45 second ad for Operation Yellow Elephant on my homepage.

Please, don't tell anyone. I'd hate to be thought a whore amongst the folks.

Errr... hmm

GravatarPhila,

It's not Patterson.
Central Scrutinizer

No? Oh, well. I do remember that when Patterson first turned up - almost a year ago - he was basically a 'bot. All the comments were random, with no responses...kind of like "hat." Then, he started developing this weird, droll personality...he was kind of like some kid who spent too much time reading pro-Ayn Rand interviews with Neal Peart of Rush.

Eh, who cares. He can go piss up a rope regardless.

GravatarProblems tonite?

Trolls?
Heloscan?

Gravatars?

All of the above. Specifically, it looks like gravatar.com lost their domain registration. All I get when I try to go to it is one of those thrice-be-damned "search" sites that opens up about 12 million pop-ups.

Gravatar I'm so tumescent right now that I dare not turn around too quickly

Bleach, please.

GravatarOK,

Have fun fucking up an intelligent thread by pretending a troll has a single, legit thing to say that needs a response.

You broke it, you bought it. Have fun with the idiot.

Peace out.

GravatarWhat happened to the rat-wing talk show blowhards that went to Iraq so they could see first hand how well things were going?

GravatarHey Sarah Deere,

How are things tonight?

GravatarSounds like David Patterson may have read the WaPo's article before I did.

The stink of desperation grows fouler...

GravatarKarin, I believe that there is a spring that holds the plug in. It might be trashed and you will need a new adapter installed. If it were me, I would simply get a good piece of tape and hold it in place. (But I am Dutch and CHEAP)

GravatarCowbell sketch on SNL *right now*!!!

GravatarKarin: Since no one is really focusing on a topic here, I'll bring up my laptop problems. The adaptor cord won't stay plugged in, it falls out, so I can't recharge it. Not sure if the problem is inside the laptop, or with the adaptor plug.

Will it stay in if the cord isn't stretched to its limit? Is it making any kind of connection (indicating that it's charging, for instance) when you hold it in place?
.

GravatarCowbell sketch on SNL *right now*!!!

Bless you Eli!

GravatarHey, CS, pretty good. The day has been a combo of tedious work and mindlessly entertaining breaks. I intend to have a large glass of wine in the next 15 minutes or so.

And, oh, gee, Christopher Walken. I do love me some Walken.

How's by you?

GravatarIt seems that you can still get into the gravatar site via this IP address.

http://64.124.231.223/

GravatarI think we (the US, or maybe just human beans in general who bought the concept) took a severely wrong turn when we bought into the idea that perception is reality.

It's funny how much the Right whines about postmodern critique - a discipline that virtually all its practicioners declared dead some time ago - given that they're probably its biggest adherents and beneficiaries. I think it was Bruno Latour who worried recently that postmodernism had given the powers that be an extremely potent set of weapons...far more potent than they ever were for the Left. It's an interesting question.

GravatarNo, it's not making a connection even when I hold it in place. I confess to having yanked out the cord roughly a few times when I tripped over it.

Gravatar"Iraq is a central front in the War on Terror." Bush is right about the "central" part -- if you look at the globe, it's nicely located between all the actual fronts in the War on Terror -- Western Europe, Central Asia, East Asia, North Africa etc etc. Iraq is right in the middle!

GravatarYou didn't beat up Patterson, I did. You were passed out in the car. I hit your hand on the cement to make it look like you did it.

GravatarI had a dream I was personally responsible for the impeachment of Bush and Rove.

GravatarA new adapter costs around $50. I made a few halfhearted bids for one on eBay but when the price there crept over $20 I dropped out.

GravatarHow's by you?

I had a busy day myself, cleaning windows and painting. I did manage to sneak off this evening to do a little fishing.

Walken is The Shit.

Gravatarbizarre, just heard don't fear the reaper on the way home. funny stuff.

GravatarKarin: Since no one is really focusing on a topic here, I'll bring up my laptop problems. The adaptor cord won't stay plugged in, it falls out, so I can't recharge it. Not sure if the problem is inside the laptop, or with the adaptor plug.

Won't stay in the computer or the wall? Either way, there's a simple Dobsonian solution.

Y'see, there are prongs and there are receptacles. If the prong is too, shall we say, "offset", it might miss the receptacle. If the slutty receptacle hasn't found Jeebus and married a real, Republican, American man... well then, the disgusting prong will only give it an STD and burn in HELL FOREVER !!!!

I'm sorry... so, is there a light on or any clicking noises?

Gravatarwell, I've always thought that reality was what it is, and our perception of it doesn't change what it is, just reveals who we are, right?

Or...left.

GravatarI gotta have more Gene Frenkel!

GravatarSomeone's made a Karl Rove statue...

http://tinyurl.com/b8nms

GravatarI've got a fever!

GravatarPlaying with trolls is roughly like the kitties playing with a mouse they catch. First they bat it around for awhile, then grow bored and kill it.

GravatarKarin: No, it's not making a connection even when I hold it in place. I confess to having yanked out the cord roughly a few times when I tripped over it.

Hmm. Okay -- a couple more questions:

1.) Does your AC adaptor have a little box between the AC cord, and the cord that goes to the laptop? If so, does it have a little indicator light on it, and if so, does it light up?

2.) The problem may be the PC end of the power cord, but it perhaps more likely to be a broken connection inside the laptop. If it's out of warranty, take it to a TV repair place. They can fix either problem for very little money.
.

Gravatarwell, I've always thought that reality was what it is, and our perception of it doesn't change what it is, just reveals who we are, right?

Or...left.

Right and left has replaced right and wrong.

GravatarSo the other day when I had the big kitty at the v-e-t, the v-e-t suggested Vitamin E for the kitty since he had a little dandruff & dry skin flakes and his coat wasn't as beautiful as it could be -- just puncture one of the little capsules & pour the oil on his chow. She said kitties usually like it, and it makes kitty fur shiny & beautiful.

So I got some & I did that -- and both kitties just *loved* it. So stay tuned for updates on the improved shininess & beauty of both kitty coats.

GravatarI have this feeling, that if this whole rove business goes badly for our side, we will probably see a massive witch hunt offered up by the current cabal. With nothing to stop them.

THis investigation has to go somewhere. It may be the only thing holding these fucks back.

GravatarColonel Angus!

GravatarPatterson,
My DOG can successfully chew up a pretzel without passing out. (Although he occassionally eats his own shit...although we don't know that Bush doesn't....oh nevermind)

GravatarSomeone's made a Karl Rove statue...

Rova the Hut?

Gravatarcentral: how was the fishing?

Gravatarwhere are you, CS? I can't remember, though I know I have known. Whatcha fishing for? Catch anything?

Never have done it, but I know it's one of those pasttimes that those who love it, love it much.

GravatarEli, well met! I didn't recognize you without your Cyborg gravatar.

You sneaky samanabatch...

GravatarYou old carpetbagger!

GravatarIs Haloscan screwy?

Gravatarevenin'

GravatarHaloscan is high quality software.

GravatarDam, we're back.Live!

GravatarI feel I must post simply becasue haloscan is permitting me.

Is that really David Patterson, or a tepid David Patterson parody? Not that is matters, they are equally uninspired.

GravatarHey, WalterNeff. Haloscan't just came back, apparently.
.

GravatarI remember when Blogger was having troubles, and almost everyone switched over to Haloscan. Not me - I knew this day would come. Repeatedly.

GravatarThe site was down for awhile. There was a problem to be fixed. Now the site is back up.

GravatarSorry sir, our shake machine is down.

GravatarEli: I remember when Blogger was having troubles, and almost everyone switched over to Haloscan. Not me - I knew this day would come. Repeatedly.

The thing what chaps me about Blogger's interface is that it continually tries to make me think I'm trying to close its window without saving something.
.

GravatarDoes the part where nobody in society giving the first shit about anything come before or after the Mad Max part?

GravatarLaptop power adapters can be a pain. I've been through about three or so. There are semi-generic versions that are less pricey.

I hate the way they tend to loosen the power plugs in the unit, since they place such leverage on them, dragging cords, etc. If mine were just loose, falling off, I'd use rubber band technology to fix that. If it's loose solder up inside the laptop, it's usually absurdly troublesome to fix it. Technology - bah!
-

GravatarWhats with this shit agbout doctors performing experiments on "detainees" at gitmo?

I thought the human race gave that shit up when hitler offed himself?

Oh, I forgot, we have the reincarnation of that evil bastard in our very own seat of power.

GravatarTroll comments make the baby Jesus cry.

Gravatar"I didn't know her name, I didn't leak her name"

Depends on the meaning of the word "didn't".

GravatarPillow talk via TPM:

WaPo December 2003:
On Oct. 28, Talon News, a news company tied to a group called GOP USA, posted on the Internet an interview with Wilson in which the Talon News questioner asks: "An internal government memo prepared by U.S. intelligence personnel details a meeting in early 2002 where your wife, a member of the agency for clandestine service working on Iraqi weapons issues, suggested that you could be sent to investigate the reports. Do you dispute that?"

The questioner, of course, was Jeff Gannon.
http:// www.talkingpointsmemo.com...7_10.php#006122

Yep. karl whispered sweet classified memos into gannon's ear.

GravatarThanks for the suggestions,Jeff P.
I left a message on your blog, because it didn't look like Eschaton was coming back.

BTW, after Double Indemnity, a Jerry Lewis movie came on TCM. From the sublime to the ridiculous.

GravatarWalter Neff! How are you?

Jeffraham--how's Curly doing with the spaghetti?

GravatarHey fake David Patterson, what did you do with the real David Patterson?
.

GravatarYep. karl whispered sweet classified memos into gannon's ear.

Would love to see that big-mouthed jackass male prostitute go to prison along with his Unka Karl.

GravatarEvening 'bats.

Well, I see it's business as usual. It's Saturday night, and we have a sad parody troll clogging up the works.

Merkin Patriot, where are you when we need you?

GravatarEleventeenth !!!

GravatarHello, Atriots! This is a drive-by just to say hello. I have internet access for a few minutes.

Clan Otter has been having a great time on vacation. Eleanor was wowed by the Muir Woods and the steam locomotive ride into the redwoods (The Skunk Train out of Ft Bragg CA). Today was Chinatown where Mrs. Otter's command of Mandarin was a source of amazement to servers and shop personnel. Tomorrow, winery tours. Monday, it's on to San Diego.

See y'all again Friday. Please, keep the fascists from taking over before then. Thanks.

GravatarSmalfish--alas, not even close. Recall that the EPA recently wanted to test pesticides on infants and young children.

Tuskeegee may have been horrific, but only in scale, not uniqueness.

GravatarOkay, I've never seen the movie "The Day After Tomorrow," though I recall the brouhaha about its release.

But this line just made me laugh--

"The people fleeing in the wake of the advancing storm..."

GravatarMerkin Patriot was around last night for one comment that I saw. Then - poof!
-

GravatarGotta love Ed Glosser, Trivial Psychic...

"You don't get it, do you? You're wasting coffee!!!"

GravatarSorry I got Haloscan drunk and gave it the keys to the minivan.

My bad.

GravatarFriggin' hellascan.....

jdw,

I caught a few decent (7-10lb) carp on corn. Man, that's fun.

I've been chumming a cove on the local lake with range cubes for the last coupla days, and it really does attract the carp and catfish. If I didn't have somewhere to be early tommorow I'd still be there.

Sarah Deere,

I live east of Wichita Kansas.

I've been fishing since I can remember, it's difficult to fathom that others haven't!

I'd compare it to prospecting, for lack of a better analogy.

Gravatardriftglass--so all this is your fault!

GravatarWould love to see that big-mouthed jackass male prostitute go to prison along with his Unka Karl.

Nah, Gannon is pathetic. He is just bone stupid. He makes W sound like a genius. I go and have a look at Gannon's "blog" every so often. He's kind of like a parody troll. Kind of like the one in here tonight, only Gannon is actually funny.

GravatarCentral--uh...I have a confession to make...

I've never been fishing.

Gravatarsteam locomotive ride

W000ooo-HOOOO!

GravatarYep. karl whispered sweet classified memos into gannon's ear.

The plot sickens.

GravatarSallyh: Jeffraham--how's Curly doing with the spaghetti?

I'll find out when I get home, I reckon... but he's jiggy widit.
.

GravatarDWD,
You still there?
Would it be Manitoulin Island?

GravatarIf I didn't have somewhere to be early tommorow I'd still be there.

Night fishing! I love it.

GravatarHaving Gannon involved in this would indeed be rich.

GravatarIf gannon gets dragged back into this it will be beyond anything hoped for.

GravatarI've never been fishing.

Sallyh,

That can be fixed!

GravatarNight fishing! I love it.

It deserves a quiet night.

GravatarDoug--you were talking about huckleberries on the last thread. I'm insanely jealous. I love huckleberries and they're nearly impossible to find in SoCal.

GravatarCS --

Do catch and release? I mean carp...

Like the late Great Mitch Hedberg says...(if you're not going to eat them) its just like you are making the carp late for something...

(I'm originally from the midwest and grew up fishing. I know the secret of skinning catfish, and will, if I have to...)

GravatarMore threads please.

GravatarI have a confession to make, too: I've never been fristing.
.

GravatarKarl Rove violated my mouth.

GravatarRoger and Virginia. Strangely familiar.

GravatarIf gannon gets dragged back into this it will be beyond anything hoped for.

It's funny how all the scandals in this administration are tied into this outting "problem".

All of them, so far, except 9/11.I wonder whn that gets dragged into this mess?

GravatarGannon is involved.

GravatarCentral--would I have to bait my own hooks? I'm kind of a princess that way...

Gravatarmmmmmm.huckleberries, very good in pancakes and on ice cream. Sweeter and tastier than blueberries, mmmmmmmggggllllggg.

GravatarI'm originally from the midwest and grew up fishing. I know the secret of skinning catfish, and will, if I have to...)

It involves pliers, right?

Gravatar4Legs--update on Maxx please!

GravatarI love night fishing with a lattern at the end of the boat. Bugs are attracted to the light, fall in the water which attracts tons of fish.

GravatarMy grandmother's huckleberry pie was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted, or hope to taste. We kids would pick 'em and she would cook the pie, and if some were left over, they would get frozen until later when they were chopped off in chunks to eat before they melted.
-

GravatarMan, it's gettin' drunk in here.
.

GravatarSallyh-baiting is the easy part. The hard part is getting the fish off the line after you catch it.

GravatarGannon was clearly stabbing someone's poo in the White House.

GravatarI feel like Rove bent me over. You?

GravatarJeffraham--are you speaking for yourself, little bro?

GravatarSallyh,
Most of it. I'm so embarassed. But I had nothing to do the fact that Firefox jumps widdershins every time I refresh it. Or that the roach traps haven't been hosed out for awhile.

GravatarI think, by the by, that we've come up with a name for the kitten.

GravatarWe should be having the local vendors (poor folk who make some side money going up into the mountains to pick them.) selling them where my road hits the main highway through here, by the end of this month.

Let me check on this but I think it's possible to ship them via overnight FedEx. Being berries, they are kind of hard to ship unless they are frozen, but then that's how I handle them every year. I buy many gallons of them, triple pack them in plastic freezer bags, & have them the rest of the year. I'm still eating off of them from last year, and being that it's getting close to this years season makes me think I should just cook up the remainder of them now.

Pretty tasty though in the dead of winter, when it's 20 below, the wind is blowing and I've got a crowd of hungry teenagers to feed in the morning. Couple of lbs of bacon, three doz eggs and a triple scone recipie with extra sugar and huckleberries.

GravatarPlus, it's not nearly as hot fishing at night.

Gravatardriftglass--what should embarrass you most is that you have a minivan to give the keys to

GravatarIt involves pliers, right?

Indeed it does...Hammer Big nail, 2X4...the whole toolbox, practically...

GravatarDon't feed the fucking troll. It'll pass out eventually.
-

GravatarSallyh: Jeffraham--are you speaking for yourself, little bro?

Yep! Tryin' to get the beers consumed before 1:00 CT, and on an empty stomach. I did bring sammich fixins, though.
.

Gravatarawab,

I usually do the catch and release thing when it comes to carp, but occasionally I keep a few for pickling.

Catfishinging is my main addiction. (Yo Karin!)

I could give a rove's ass about bass fishing besides using them for bait.

Eli,

You funny!

GravatarJack, I'm now convinced it was Rove.

GravatarMan, it's gettin' drunk in here.
.

Great! I went to a winery tonite. It was great, but I didn't want to be drunk when everyone else was sober.

GravatarFirefox users--latest version of Symantec cleared up the problems of caddywampusness, for some reason. Just a suggestion.

GravatarDessert, anyone?
Sallyh

Just finished dinner. What might be on the menu tonite, Madame Sallyh?

GravatarOh, I *love* the Pranksters sketch...

Gravatar"Sallyh-baiting"?

Why would you want to do that? Sallyh is a nice lady.

GravatarMy parents have a house that 's on the Rock River. When I was in high school, my bedroom faced the river. Some mornings I would be woken up by men's voices that sounded like they were in my room. It was fisherman out side in a boat on the river (20 yards away) the river carries voices so well it was creepy....

GravatarCS: COOL! carp= freshwater bonefish. This summer i'm gonna go flyrod for carp seriously...they are much harder to catch then trout.

FLG: Maxx update?

GravatarFlory--I made another vanilla pound cake. It's really versatile; all of the Poissoniers like theirs differently served, and it makes a great base.

Complementary ingredients include: blueberries, whipped cream (real--none of that Cool Whip shit), vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, pecans, and Chubby Hubby ice cream.

GravatarGreat! I went to a winery tonite. It was great, but I didn't want to be drunk when everyone else was sober.

BWAAAAHHAAAAAAAhaaaaaaaa!

*snort*

GravatarIs everyone speaking geek, and I'm not able to comprehend it (how odd!), or am I just drunk?

Gravatar Don't feed the fucking troll. It'll pass out eventually.

QuentinCompson

I'm assuming you mean Incog, and I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

GravatarSNL is showing the best of Christopher Walken. I think that Prankster skit is just the funniest!

GravatarJeffraham--stop being greedy. Pass me one of those SNPAs and I'll fix you a lovely chicken sandwich.

GravatarThat's not four legs.

GravatarSallyh,
It was supposed to be a simple insurance scam; I had no idea it would all get so Iraq-ified.

GravatarOh, I guess everyone else was watching it, too Great minds think alike!

GravatarWhat happened to the rat-wing talk show blowhards that went to Iraq so they could see first hand how well things were going?

I saw a brief interview with one of them on, I think, MSNBC a couple of days ago. Talking about schools repaired and the wonderful morale of our troops. Yes, apparently everything is just hunky dory. Nevermind the 1750+ US killed and the thousands of Iraqis. A good school paint job can make everything dandy.

GravatarNo shit it's not 4Legs. That became evident pretty fast.

GravatarRather, the fake flg.

GravatarI believe FLG has had his name stolen tonite.

Gravatardriftglass--just tell me you didn't talk to JimmyJeff, and all will be forgiven.

GravatarJeffraham--kiddo, you're just sorta smashed.

GravatarIncog drunk yet?

GravatarOf course, my *favorite* Walken sketch isn't included.

Link isn't working for me, but hopefully it's *just* me...

GravatarSallyh: Jeffraham--stop being greedy. Pass me one of those SNPAs and I'll fix you a lovely chicken sandwich.

Heh! Well, unfortunately, SNPA is a rare treat these days. It's typically $9/sixer, after our lovely taxes are applied. That's like food for me and Curly for 4-5 days, so I really try not to succumb to the temptation except on special occasions.
.

GravatarFor those interested in the genre, Art Bell returns tonight with guest Howard Bloom. He always has interesting things to talk about. Think I'll go raid the vending machines and get ready. Laterz.

:::poof!:::

Gravatarwow...so guckert8"cut may be back in the news...wonder if he's been called to the gj? that would be a fucking hoot...

Gravatarrorschach - did you tell us what the kitten's name is going to be? I missed it, if so. What a CUUUUUUTE baby!

Gravatarsteam locomotive ride

That Skunk Train is a hoot. Doesn't really go anywhere - just into the woods and back. Used to be the logging train when they were still logging that part of the redwood forest.

GravatarCensus sketch!

GravatarCensus Bureau skit... my very very favorite!

GravatarJeffraham--now that's steep. I pay about $7/6, and I think it's treat beer.

Gravatarwow..lotsa trool stink tonight...g'night moonbats...tight lines, cs..

GravatarHow's it going you lovely Moonbats? Just got to the party what have I misssed?

GravatarCOOL! carp= freshwater bonefish.

That's a fact.

On a flyrod?!

Good god man, that's extreme fishing. Good luck!

GravatarI love huckleberries and they're nearly impossible to find in SoCal.
Sallyh

I seem to remember that GWPDA posted a link to an orchard in Oregon that delivers fruit around the country. I think they had huckleberries.

Gravatar"I guess I really overshot it with that 80."

Gravatar"I work part time... from 9 to 5"
ha ha ha ha ha

Gravatar"She won't answer you. She's a bobcat."

Gravatarjdw : wow...so guckert8"cut may be back in the news...wonder if he's been called to the gj? that would be a fucking hoot...

I thought I remembered Glickert saying he was called to the Grand Jury, but I may be drunk.
.

GravatarUnrepentant Fenian--well, it appears that the regime may be starting to feel a bit warmer. The meltdown looks likely, however. Pull up and have some popcorn and Rolling Rock, and we have vanilla pound cake with fixings for dessert.

GravatarCentral Scrutinzer is correct. The "David Patterson" of this thread is not the David Patterson of Haloscan legend. The real David Patterson would never be so blandly generic. The real DP's posts were masterpieces of literary pretension and adolescent rage that glimmered with inadvertent psychosexual revelations. He was the Ed Wood of trolls, taking inanity to bizarre and often weirdly personal heights (or lows). The trolls of today can't hold a candle to him.

Gravatar"Dual citizenship with the United States and Florida... "

"Don't push your politics on me, pal!"

GravatarPlus, it's not nearly as hot fishing at night.

I used to go night fishing for bluefish, on the Jersey shore. It's the best time.

And the best freshwater fish I ever ate was in a restaurant in Ohio, near Lake Erie. Walleye Panko. I wish I had the recipe cause it was unbelievably good.

GravatarSallyh: Jeffraham--now that's steep. I pay about $7/6, and I think it's treat beer.

Well, I did say after taxes. Davidson Co. = 9.25%. No income tax, but still pay 8.25% on food.
.

Gravatar"I really want to win that car."

Gravatar rorschach - did you tell us what the kitten's name is going to be? I missed it, if so. What a CUUUUUUTE baby!
oldwhitelad

Well, I been tryin to play a guessing game about the kitten's name, but no one's biting.

Let's try again. He hates hegemony. Also, not so fond of Italian prisons.

GravatarJeffraham--8.25% sales tax in LA County. 9.75% state income tax.

Actually, I like living in a high tax, high service state.

Gravatar"AGAIN? We just did it!"

GravatarI missed fucking Double Indemnity on TCM???!!!!

Goddamn it!

GravatarWalter Neff--being played again on Monday.

GravatarRorschach--Guido?

GravatarIncog is drunk again. Alcoholic.

Pathetic drunk.

GravatarGaribaldi?

GravatarApparently Fake 4LG = Fake Sarah Deere...

GravatarRemember when the whole gannon/guckert-gate thing broke. The white house pretty much made a joke out of everybody covering the WH. No way the white house press corps would let that go without making a federal case out of it. Yeah, no way they'd let that go.

GravatarFake 4Legs, scram.

GravatarRorschach - All I can think of is Attaturk... Ha ha hah ahaha - The braincells are kind of pickled in wine, right now.

GravatarRors:
Il Duce?

GravatarSallyh, Thanks.

GravatarSallyh -- Well, SNPA doesn't have to travel as far to you, either. I wish Blackstone would bottle their delightful, nearly-orgasmic Red Springs Ale. Right now, they're bottling only the dull Chaser Pale (the beer they sell to people who ask for a Miller Lite), and their Nut Brown Ale (which, sorry -- just isn't hoppy enough to suit me).
.

GravatarSallyh - could I have my cake with vanilla ice cream and blueberries please?

GravatarThat little white spot on ror's kitty's upper lip looks like he was interrupted before he got too far into the saucer of cream. How old is that cutie-pie, ror?

Gravatarschnowballs.

GravatarIncog is drunk again. Alcoholic.

Pathetic drunk.

Same fucker stole my name on the overnight thread last night.

It's the original "Sarah Deere" stalker.

GravatarSallyh and everyone else. If you are serious about getting some huckleberries, there some berry brokers (I kid you not) around kalispell MT and also, in Idaho. Because I can get them locally I just buy them from the local venders, though, they don't have the quantity as the berry brokers. I think I can find the phone numbers of the berry people.

Emmanuel Lewis?

Verne Troyer?

Grammikins is good. Gender non-specific, so you won't have an embarassed kitty when you finally figure out the sex.

GravatarMena--Central's right. Now instead of 28 channels of crap, you've got 500 channels of crap.

GravatarNow that I know the name of cute little kitty Grammikins, batses, I'm off to bed, to sleep, perchance to dream of Fitz slowly and inexorably climbing the steps into the Oval Office itself.

GravatarWoohoo! Grammikins is cute as cute as your kitten.

I imagine he will only be called by his entire name when he is being particularly naughty or truculant.

GravatarDoes anyone think that if a girl went missing in say, Barrow Alaska, every news program would rush out to Barrow to do a report.

GravatarOh, and, by the way, if you could keep my gravatar's ribbons out of the scotch so the ferrets don't chew on 'em I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Mighty kind of you.

GravatarEli--and we're living proof of that.

Gravatarrors,

GravatarWatching the cable TV news you would think that the only kids abducted or that go missing are white, blonde haired and blue eyed. It makes me want to puke.

But why would anyone bother to abduct inferior children?

GravatarRor, I believe I had it at 1:01. Restore to me my glory or face my wrath.

I have to say, I can tell by the playful hinting Thersites did indeed have it too, but I had not refreshed when I guessed -- so shall we call it a draw?

Well, the same job *title*, anyway...

GravatarThersites --

I have to say. My librul arts education somehow did not instill me with a memory of Gramsci's stature. I am duly impressed.

GravatarDon't mind Thersites--he's just acting like a typical PhD.

GravatarAccording to the Rove rule, if you don't say the actual name, you didn't reveal the identity.
I must insist Mena is the winner.

GravatarEli--you think?

GravatarYou know what keeps me up at night.? How the hell did Bush win the 2004 election?

Massive fraud in Ohio and Florida, ignored by the media.

GravatarI have until about 2:00, Haloscan't time... so, if I forget to say "I said, 'good day!,' I'll just say it now.
.

Gravatar Eli--you think?

Sometimes...

GravatarRev. Terry Fox looks like Rove with more hair.

GravatarI FUCKING HATE. FUCKING HATE THIS NAME STEALING TROLL BITCH.

FUCK YOU TROLL.

FUCK YOU.

GravatarJowl's a flappin'.....

GravatarDon't mind Thersites--he's just acting like a typical PhD.

As an abd dropout, I have to say...the scene is familiar.

I would have been willing to concede -- but the male show of pique kind of brings out the Billie Jean King in me...

GravatarCentral--that's a horrifying image.

GravatarIt's hard for me to hate something quite that impotent.
.

GravatarThus--

Introducing Grammikins!

Gravatarstamping foot in adorable yet manly display of pique)
Thersites

good move. your foot stomping just upset the gravatar pile. hagar's shield just squashed straw's hat.

you in trouble now.

GravatarNow I am pretending to hate myself. I am so pitiful.

GravatarRev. Terry Fox looks like Rove with more hair.
Central Scrutinizer

Must be a big hit with the ladies.

GravatarToo late - I withdraw. You boys duke it out. I just want to know baby's *true* gender. And maybe I'll have a little cake.

GravatarFUCK YOU DOPPLEGANGER TROLL.

FUCKING FUCK YOU.

GravatarI FUCKING HATE. FUCKING HATE THIS NAME STEALING TROLL BITCH.

FUCK YOU TROLL.

FUCK YOU.
awab

You just made its day.

GravatarThus--

Introducing Grammikins!

*Applause!*

GravatarAs an abd dropout, I have to say...the scene is familiar.

I'm an ADD dropout.

Ooo, kitties!

Gravatar(yawn) what did I miss?

Oh, and last I checked, Thersites, your wife was in the capable hands of Jezebel.

Hold up, that doesn't sound right.

GravatarAaaawww, it looks like the troll has a crush on me now. Aren't you all jealous?

GravatarYou just made its day.

Actually, it, um, made its own day.

It's like watching Karl Rove masturbate...

GravatarWHERE DO YOU LIVE TROLL? YOU WANT TO MEET IN PERSON?

HUH? HUH COWARD?

YOU WANT A BEATDOWN, BITCH?

GravatarWow, Thersites AND Rorschach. I remember you guys, vaguely. What's going on?

Gravatarcute kitty. When do their eyes change from blue?

GravatarJebus, ror... it DOES look like Gramsci.

Freakshow.

GravatarWell, Terry Fox *does* have the cleft chin thing goin' on.

On top of the double chin.

GravatarIt's like watching Karl Rove masturbate...
Eli

You say that avisedly, I assume.

GravatarJust got back from drinking beer and shooting pool with some buddies. I'm just checking to see if my gravatar still works. How did it get so fubarred, anyway.

GravatarYOU WANT A BEATDOWN, PHILA?

GravatarI am threatening myself. Oooooo, I scare me!

GravatarEli : It's like watching Karl Rove masturbate...

Well, going from experience, it's tough for a man to make any money doing that on the Innernets... but I can safely surmise that Karl never made a dime...
.

GravatarYou say that avisedly, I assume.

There are times when not having eyes really comes in handy.

GravatarYep, good ol' Atticus is still there.

GravatarOK, here comes the part where he tries to shame people into giving money.

No doubt he'll be successful.

GravatarThat was... poor word choice, wasn't it.

GravatarActually the picture that comes into my mind with the thought of Karl masturbating, is one that no human should have to endure.

{{{shudder}}}

GravatarPhila--

You have been missed, my friend.

GravatarDADDY, I WANT A SQUIR-REL!

GravatarRorschach--Grammikins is absolutely adorable!

GravatarJebus, ror... it DOES look like Gramsci.

I have a mole on my left testicle that looks like Alexandre Kojève.

GravatarHiya Phila. How did the book travails go?

GravatarOh God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son"
Abe says, "Man, you must be puttin' me on"
God say, "No." Abe say, "What?"
God say, "You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin' you better run"
Well Abe says, "Where do you want this killin' done?"
God says, "Out on Highway 61.

GravatarRors:
Grammikins - may I call him/her Grammikins? - is just a dollbaby.

You realize you're on the hook for regular Friday kittyblogging now, don't you?

Gravatar
I have a mole on my left testicle that looks like Alexandre Kojève.

Who doesn't?

GravatarPhila--

You have been missed, my friend.
rorschach

Thanks...right back at ya. I should be circulating a bit more over the next week or so....

GravatarThere is nothing that could possibly be like watching Karl masturbate. For the sake of all that is holy, please don't even mention it again. I've got to sleep SOMETIME.

GravatarGod-DAMN Haloscan and Comcast. Between them, I have not had a protracted moment's peace.

Hope all are well. I have been very on and off again, for about four days, making me crazier than I normally am!

Gravatarror--

Thems some blue eyes on Grammikins! What a heartbreaker.

GravatarWho doesn't?
Thersites

Well, my wfe, for starters. On the other hand, she's got a birthmark that looks like Marinus Van Der Lubbe in profile.

GravatarThat was... poor word choice, wasn't it.

I'm signing off now. If someone pretends to be me, throw a pun at them.

Gravatar(yawn) what did I miss?

WT:
You might want to have a talk with Thers about your gravatar. Apparently its in his garage and just ate Fred Macmurray.

GravatarPhila--lovely nudibranch this week! Hope you're well.

GravatarPhila: Well, my wfe, for starters. On the other hand, she's got a birthmark that looks like Marinus Van Der Lubbe in profile.

You and Thers are gonna get me arrested for disturbing the peace if you keep this up.
.

GravatarSan Antone Rose--that's what it is--my daughter is Veruca Salt!

GravatarJeez. Don't get up . I'll let myself out.

GravatarFUCK YOU PHILA. YOU WANT A BEATDOWN BITCH?

GravatarAre you sure it's Marinus Van Der Lubbe and not his twin brother?

GravatarJeffraham--no getting arrested. Too expensive.

GravatarGrr, Art's not on tonight but tomorrow night. At least NTodd finally got my pic up on his site.

GravatarSallyh: Jeffraham--no getting arrested. Too expensive.

No kidding! Tell 'em to knock it off! I'm here in this quiet, West Nashville neighborhood, LMAO/LOL... man, oh man.
.

GravatarMonsieur has selected 'Goldfinger' for tonight's late night viewing. I was holding out for 'Anacondas: Secret of the Blood Orchid' but he could have done much worse.

GravatarWell, my wfe, for starters. On the other hand, she's got a birthmark that looks like Marinus Van Der Lubbe in profile.

I once had a rectal wart removed that looked like a cross between Clara Bow and Master Shake. An anthropologically fascinating tribe in Lapland to this day worships it as a fertility god.

GravatarKarl Rove violated my mouth.
four legs good |

wait...wait...that was what my name stealer said about me, last night, and, blatedly, I thought..I should have immediately responded...only after I had filed all my teeth to a fine point would that happen.....!!

GravatarPhila--lovely nudibranch this week! Hope you're well.
Sallyh

Isn't it?

I'm...OK, thanks. I don't wanna keep boring people with progress reports, but I'm currently doing a last-pass line edit on a bunch of stuff. Really boring and time-consuming, but not productive of mind-numbing despair. I've actually had time to do some other stuff lately. And in fact, I have a mind to go out and hit a bar or two this very moment.

(Rorschach...have you seen these Internet jukeboxes that allow you to access 20,000 songs? I was able to irritate a bar full of people with the Fall's "Eat Y'Self Fitter" last week...)

Any way...good to see y'all at once. Have a nice evening!

Gravatar Suicide Blast Kills 54 at Iraq Gas Station

By ROBERT H. REID
Associated Press Writer
Published July 16, 2005, 9:53 PM CDT

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- An insurgent suicide bomber detonated explosives strapped to his body Saturday, triggering a huge explosion at a gas station near a mosque south of Baghdad and killing at least 54 people. The attack capped a string of three major bombings over the past four days that killed at least 120.
Police Capt. Muthanna Khaled Ali and Dr. Adel Malallah of the Jumhuri General Hospital in Hillah, the provincial capital, said the gas station blast in Musayyib, about 40 miles south of Baghdad, killed 54 and wounded at least 82 others.
In Baghdad, the Interior Ministry put the casualty count at 51 dead and 82 wounded, but the report was believed based on a preliminary count.
Witnesses and police said the fuel tanker was moving slowly toward the pumps when an attacker ran to it and detonated his charge. A cluster of houses near the city-center gas station caught fire, the witnesses said. Gasoline stations in Iraq routinely include a number of small businesses selling tea, soft drinks and snacks and are often crowded with people.

I want to know what the adminisrtations plan is for ending the violence. That's not a crazy question is it?

Gravatar Are you sure it's Marinus Van Der Lubbe and not his twin brother?

You mean that notorious pervert Barry "Pass Der" Lubbe?

GravatarPhila's wife lapped my bug.

GravatarAn anthropologically fascinating tribe in Lapland to this day worships it as a fertility god.

I hate it when that happens.

GravatarEarlier Saturday, the U.S. military announced it had filed charges against 11 soldiers for allegedly assaulting Iraqis detained during combat operations in the capital.

This calls for one of my favorite movie quotes.

It's like giving speeding tickets at the Indy 500

GravatarI think we now have all the proof we need that the GOP is blatantly violating child labor laws.
.

GravatarI want to know what the adminisrtations plan is for ending the violence. That's not a crazy question is it?

Accoring to the current regime, it is.

Hey Phila, Is that pic really you with that goofy looking hat?

GravatarI want to know what the adminisrtations plan is for ending the violence. That's not a crazy question is it?

At some point, there won't be anyone left to kill. Problem solved.

Gravatar want to know what the adminisrtations plan is for ending the violence. That's not a crazy question is it?
Unrepentant Fenian

*sigh* Don't you get it? We are encouraging the violence there, so they don't bring it over here. Did you know you can call almost anything a "plan"? Pretty cool, huh?

GravatarOkay, try that again!

Phila's wife lapped my bug.

I think we now have all the proof we need that the GOP is blatantly violating child labor laws.
.

Gravatarsex?

I think I can speak for the majority here, when I say I am in favor of it.

GravatarFor all the trolls, Bush apologists, and propagandists:

Just now, from Seabisuit:

David McCullough (VO):

"They called it Relief, but it was a lot more than that. It had dozens of names - NRA, the WPA, the CCC - but it really came down to just one thing; for the first time, in a long time, someone cared. For the first time, in a long time, you were no longer alone."

then we see Roosevelt.

GravatarHoward Bloom is coming on, though.

GravatarAccoring to the current regime, it is.

The Horror.

GravatarEvernin', 'Bats.

So we bankrupted Gravatar?

Reporting in from the new computer (that's what we decided instead of replacing the soon-to-be fried hard drive and upgrading to XP, adding memory, blah blah).

So when my wife sees the flat panel I also bought (I've been pushing for that for a couple of years now), I've decided that my respones will be:

a) It was a package deal, $100 rebate. (The rebate part is true, for the tower itself).

and b) Dude, look at that shit.

A friend of mine once gave the sage advice re: tech purchases: "It's better to explain why you bought something than to explain why you need something."

Use it well.

GravatarPhila's wife lapped my dirty bug.

GravatarYou looking for a beatdown, joycamp?

GravatarThis is a brilliant op-ed by Frank Rich in the Sunday NYT
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/1...pagewanted=1& hp

GravatarEither Volkswagens are very slow, or Phila's wife is very fast. Or both.

GravatarKitty

Ironically, she spent her latter years saving cheetahs.

GravatarOorah.

GravatarJoycamp--true story: 17 years ago, Monsieur went out to buy sneakers. He came home with a large-screen TV instead.

Sometimes apology works better than permission

GravatarSorry, had a phonecall.

Nevertheless: Grammikins!

That's Antonio Gramsci to you.

GravatarYikes, I've got to get up in 6 hours and carry rocks around.

(OK, so it's not *quite* that simple, but that's the gist of it.)

Be well moonbats.

GravatarSometimes apology works better than permission

Yeah, but what does that have to do with bringing home a big-screen TV?

GravatarQuentin, I once spent a week w/Amanda Blake at her home in Phoenix (don't ask...).

She was, really, a class act and a genuinely lovely person.

GravatarGravatar's Cheneyed Beyond ALL Repair now, apparently.

GravatarEli--well, it wasn't as if there had been a great deal of discussion about the purchase prior to the delivery truck from Ken Crane's pulling up...

GravatarI just pinched off a ten pound shit.

I've got to stop eating so much.

Gravatar Gravatar's Cheneyed Beyond ALL Repair now, apparently.

Just lie back and enjoy it.

GravatarSallh,
I'd eat a mile of your shit just to see where it came from.

GravatarCheck the homepage at the second 2.03 posting. Not moi, needless to say.

GravatarEli--well, it wasn't as if there had been a great deal of discussion about the purchase prior to the delivery truck from Ken Crane's pulling up...

I just can't imagine any reaction other than, "Ooo, awesome!!!"

GravatarSenator Biden once again haunts the sunday news programs.............New lineup:

"Meet Joe Biden"

"Face Joe Biden"

"This Week(and every week),starring Joe Biden"

Sheesh.

GravatarBoy, this David Patterson incarnation has to be the most boring troll we've ever had -- and that's saying a lot.

Saw two incredible documentaries tonight. The March of the Penguins and Rize, a phenomenal film about street dancers in South Central LA. Makes hip-hop look as old-fashioned as the charleston. It is a piece of art and I highly recommend it!

Gravataroh, lordy, what a lovely life force is little Gramsci (sp??). Look at that picture of him/her. Full, full, full of LIFE!!! No kidding. Such a treat to see.

I have new baby blue jays in my yartd. Each new life, so determined. I won;t say "hopeful" because that word has no meaning for the young.

It is those of us who are older who hope. The word was coined for us.

GravatarEli--needless to say, once we got the VCR hooked up to it and could watch movies, my reaction changed from dismay to delight.

Gravatar Senator Biden once again haunts the sunday news programs.............New lineup:

Me, I would have gone with "Biden Time"...

GravatarHunkered down to a side of beef last night and I haven't shat since. I imagine when I do, it'll be like giving birth.

GravatarSaw two incredible documentaries tonight. The March of the Penguins and Rize, a phenomenal film about street dancers in South Central LA. Makes hip-hop look as old-fashioned as the charleston. It is a piece of art and I highly recommend it!

I really want to see Rize, especially after the NYT article which contained the following quote:

"It was just after he was released from jail in the early 1990's that Johnson... turned to evangelical Christianity and clown dancing more or less simultaneously."

GravatarThe other day I had the runs and shat myself in the parking lot as I walked to work.

Ran down my leg and onto the sidewalk in fornt of some other staff.

GravatarI haven't shit solid for a week myself.

Been hitting the bottle too much.

GravatarThere's this:

OT: I hereby cast off my Gravatar™!

I break with you
I break with you
I break with you

And then I throw doga poop on it's shoes.

*Aaaaahhhh!*

Join me, fellow sinners in casting off the burden of your mental-image-fixing Globally Recognized Avatars™! Free yourself from the yoke of thinking "Oh, that's the guy with the big pink blob thing who I automatically skip over! - Cool!" Drink deeply once again of the completely random reading of whatever comment pops up! Be free!

GravatarEli,
You enjoy chocolate lattes?

GravatarKarl Rove shit in my mouth once.

GravatarJalepenos usually do that for me.

GravatarWow. It's been a while since the Motherfucking Useless Timewasters™ took my name.

Hey, namestealer! Does your mother still cry when you try to seduce her?
-

GravatarSo much for kids being able to 'opt out' of being contacted by military recruiters:

Marketer Enlisted to Lure Recruits

The money shot? "...even though a parent can opt out of having a child solicited for military duty, the child can't opt out of being in the database."

I hate this regime.

GravatarAmanda Blake at her home in Phoenix (don't ask...)

I can say no more.

(Always loved her in the bondage scenes.)
-

GravatarI shit myself now and then when I blackout.

GravatarMister X--how are Mrs., Master and Missy X?

GravatarYou let men shit on you at the rest areas after you get your pearl necklace, incog?

GravatarI'm about to shit myself.
Later.

GravatarI've had enough troll crap to last a lifetime. Anything after this post, feel free to beat whoever posts.

Night, bats of moon.

GravatarOh, and Firefox allows me to block Gravatars, so my pages load nice and clean, too.

It's like I'm looking at/posting on Eschaton pre-June 2005... good times.

-

GravatarHoly crap. A drunken troll. I thought I'd seen it all with the "menopause troll" the other week.

Oh but wait...note the homepage...

GravatarAnyone read the NYT Magazine article on framing yet? I've just started it, and it's pretty interesting and hopeful so far.

Gravatargoodness....who in the world spends their time pretending to be other people and doing so in the most offensive ways possible?

Why would anyone want to spend their time that way? Have they no life of their own?

Strange, and sad.

And, please, why is Haloscan so weird??? Are we in for another horrible full moon...???

GravatarEli -

Are you being facetious? Rize is really, really good. And I didn't even notice any "evangelical" emphasis. Just that a couple of the kids liked dancing and singing in church.

Did the NYT frame it in some kind of religious way? That would be wrong!

GravatarTrolls are losers and can only hurl feces around.

GravatarAre you being facetious? Rize is really, really good. And I didn't even notice any "evangelical" emphasis. Just that a couple of the kids liked dancing and singing in church.

Did the NYT frame it in some kind of religious way? That would be wrong!

No, no - I think that was the only religious reference in the entire article. I just thought the juxtaposition in the quote was pretty hilarious.

GravatarSD, HaloScan can't support all the gravatars on this site. HaloScan has always been screwy.

GravatarEli -

That definitely was a funny quote. Hope you see the film. I really, really think you'll like this one.

Are you still taking my recommendations, by the way? I feel I've led you astray so far...

GravatarMisterX -

I've given up on my gravatar too. It felt odd having this appendage following me around...

GravatarI think the feces troll is sorta funny in that this is all they've got left.

Gravatar(Always loved her in the bondage scenes.)
-
QuentinCompson

huh...???

GravatarI like Silleigh's gravatar the best, though.

GravatarGuess I'll head out too. This weekend troll shift is pathetic!

GravatarMister X--how are Mrs., Master and Missy X?
Sallyh

Well, I hate to report it, but MissusX turned 39 on St. Swithin's Day, of all things, so much hilarity was had by all... MasterX is in the midst of a Very Good Summer, wearing only shorts and browning nicely as only a small boy should. MissyX? MissyX is finally beginning to understand colloquial English and is no longer rubbing her food in her hair... and that's a good thing.

All in all, aces here at ChezX... and the best to you for asking!
-

GravatarLike a bitter feces troll.

GravatarAlso, the name reminds one of Gromit.

Gravatarror -

What did you name the kitty?

Gravatar Like a bitter feces troll.

Isn't that a Dylan song?

GravatarHaloScan can't support all the gravatars on this site. HaloScan has always been screwy.
Incog

Incog, how do I get rid of my gravatar? I don't need it, certainly.

Apologies for being such a techno-idiot!!

GravatarDanny: My partner's got a really good idea for making dolls. His name's 'Presuming Ed'. His sister give him the idea. She got a doll on Christmas what pisses itself.

Withnail: Really.

Danny: Then you've got to change its drawers for it. Horrible really but they like that, the little girls. So we're going to make one that shits itself too.

Withnail: Shits itself!?

Danny: He's an expert. He's building the prototype now.

GravatarAre you still taking my recommendations, by the way? I feel I've led you astray so far...

Sure, why not? I did like Stardust Memories, you know. And I wanted to see Rize anyway.

Gravatarhuh...???

Just the kidnapped and tied up with a rope until Matt or Doc show up kind of stuff. Respectfully, of course.

GravatarSarah Deere -

Go to gravatar.com and sign in. Then just tell it to cancel your account. Or you can just delete your email cookie and your gravatar won't show up anymore. That's what I did.

GravatarThe Gravatar party is over, it seems, at least for the time being. Shame, really...I quite liked mine.

GravatarEli -

Rize was directed by a fashion photographer, I think. David LaChapelle. Very arty look. You'll appreciate that aspect of it, for sure.

Gravatar ror -

What did you name the kitty?
Jenny from the ßlog

You tell me.

GravatarRize was directed by a fashion photographer, I think. David LaChapelle. Very arty look. You'll appreciate that aspect of it, for sure.

Cool. I'm mainly interested in the dancing, and whether it meets or exceeds the gold standard set by the Nicholas Brothers...

GravatarThe Missus X would eat a mile fo Sarah Deere's shit just to see where it came from.

Gravatarror -

heh. I already peeked. Congrats! That could be the cutest kitten of them all!

GravatarCool. I'm mainly interested in the dancing, and whether it meets or exceeds the gold standard set by the Nicholas Brothers...
Eli

Every time I watch the Nicholas brothers, tears want to run down my cheeks and the hair on my arms gives standing ovations...
-

GravatarEli -

It's the most frenetic dancing you've ever seen. At the beginning there's a crawl that says something like: "The footage is in actual speed, unaltered". And it's a good thing they mentioned it, because you'd swear they'd done some fiddling with the timing.

GravatarProof that Rove lied. Finally.

GravatarNight all, for reals, before some troll shits all over my good name. Well, my name, anyway.

GravatarQuentin, oh, yeah!! Gotcha

Jenny FTB - thanks.

GravatarEvery time I watch the Nicholas brothers, tears want to run down my cheeks and the hair on my arms gives standing ovations...

The number in Down Argentine Way is my favorite. They talked about it in the Nicholas Brothers documentary, about how the choreographer was so excited because he had invented some insane steps that no-one else could do, and how audience reaction in some theaters was so strong that they had to rewind the film and play that scene over again...

GravatarEli -

Oh, one more thing. It's really pathetic that we can't find a few dollars more to spend for city kids to have activities after school. This particular segment of South Central is fortunate to have a couple of good role models, as you will see.

But it's also so sad when you realize the billions being spent on war when so many great kids just have nothing. And a little support would go a long, long way.

GravatarThe number in Down Argentine Way is my favorite.
Eli

Is that the one where they dance through the big band? I can never remember which movie that's from, especially with Yuengling sparking my synapses...
-

GravatarIs that the one where they dance through the big band? I can never remember which movie that's from, especially with Yuengling sparking my synapses...

No, that's Stormy Weather. Down Argentine Way is in color, has them in white or off-white suits, and no gimmicks at all. But Fayard does *something* with his legs at one point that is not physically possible outside of an Escher drawing.

GravatarAlthough IIRC, the Stormy Weather number *does* have them leapfrogging each other into splits on the big staircase. Just insane.

GravatarDown Argentine Way...movie? I don't know this one. Old, new? What??

GravatarAll videos of "Live 8" in: http://filantropika.blogspot.com/
Bye!!

Gravatar Down Argentine Way...movie? I don't know this one. Old, new? What??

1940, Don Ameche.

GravatarOh, and Betty Grable and Carmen Miranda...

GravatarEli, going outside now to suck nicotine into my lungs, back in about 5 or so.

What do you do for a day job?

Is the photography supporting you?

Forgive me if I am intrusive.

GravatarNo, that's Stormy Weather. Down Argentine Way is in color, has them in white or off-white suits, and no gimmicks at all. But Fayard does *something* with his legs at one point that is not physically possible outside of an Escher drawing.
Eli

OH RIGHT YES, gotcha! Not a camera trick, huh? Wow. It's like an Astaire/Rogers movie when they'd do 40 takes of a minute-and-a-half scene, but all we see is the one that worked...

Were they in "Tales of Manhattan"?
-

GravatarWhat do you do for a day job?

Is the photography supporting you?

I'm a business analyst in a bank; I haven't really *tried* to sell any photos.

OH RIGHT YES, gotcha! Not a camera trick, huh? Wow. It's like an Astaire/Rogers movie when they'd do 40 takes of a minute-and-a-half scene, but all we see is the one that worked...

Were they in "Tales of Manhattan"?

I wonder how many takes the Nicholases needed. I'm guessing not many. Another anecdote in We Sing, We Dance (great documentary) about Harold pissing off Gene Kelly by half-assing his way through rehearsals, then proceeding to nail the routine flawlessly when Kelly called him on it...

Gravatar(no, I don't think they were in Tales Of Manhattan, but it looks like everyone else on the planet was...)

GravatarThat critter at 2:37 warn't me, by the way.

This critter is!

GravatarEli, okay - I know that movie!!!

A bank!! Christ on a crutch!!! Amazing you still have your sanity!!

Although, there could be something distinctly meditative about that.

GravatarA bank!! Christ on a crutch!!! Amazing you still have your sanity!!

The key word is "analyst"; the specific business is not so important.

GravatarThe key word is "analyst"; the specific business is not so important.

Eli, I'm dumb as a stump. What are you saying here?

GravatarCreepiness Factors Surrounding the Bush Clan
or
Tricky Dick Was Bush-League Compared to Chimpy

I am sure it will offend some, just one interpretation of history. Lets just look at the “creepiness factors” here.

The Bush family fortune did not come from oil -- it came from financing the Nazis in WW I. There was an investigation (official record) and I believe some assets were frozen and even seized.

In fact, some say the Prescotts and other powerful elites were actually behind Hitler's rise to power in Germany. Think about this – it is a fact that the propaganda techniques had their roots in America. Was Hitler an evil genius or a stupid puppet -- anyone else see some scary possibilities here.

Georges grandfather, Prescott is responsible for bringing Richard Nixon into politics, set him up, and provided direction and support.

George I was involved with the CIA many years before being its director under Gerald Ford. He was involved with the Bay of Pigs. Some believe he has connections, direct or indirect, with JFK assassination. If you do not accept the Warren Commission, and most Americans don’t, then the murder of an elected president was nothing less than a coup d’etat. It is a verified fact, that the rest of the world accepts though it was never given the press it deserved, that chimpy did not win in 2000 – another coup d’tat?

If you think the JFK case is convoluted and full of lies – check of the RFK murder! Most certainly this paved the way for tricky dick to get into the Whitehouse (remember, this is Prescott’s main man). Isn’t this, in many ways, a coup too? While where at it – Martin Luther King’s murder was the result of a conspiracy – at least that is what a judge and jury decided when they heard the evidence. How come the rest of America never heard the evidence.

Nixon could not have possibly resigned over the Watergate burglary -- this is minor league stuff, especially by today's standards. What possibly could have been on that 18-minute gap that cannot be recovered with today's technology? You know that you cannot actually erase your hard-drive this clean. A secretary certainly did not erase these tapes in this matter by herself. No -- this is not a direct Bush thing, unless there was direct, indirect involvement with JFK murder. Any other speculation as to what was on that tape?

The Reagan assassination attempt was done by the son of a close bush family friend -- while Ronald ran as an aggressive, "reform" type in 1980, he became a passive "hands-off" delegate after the assassination attempt. Coincidence -- Nancy Reagan could not stand the Bushes.

If you can accept that their was Bush involvement with the CIA and perhaps even the Reagan assassination attempt, then please look at this link:

Neil Bush was a major player in the Savings and Loan scandal -- cost us billions. He told congress that he received million dollar loans that were "forgiven" and that this "happens all the time." Does anyone else think this makes chimpy's Social Security con more reprehensible?

Bush Sr. was having breakfast with Bakr bin Laden, brother of Osama, the morning of 9/11 at a Carlyle Group shareholders meeting.

Is it possible that the Bush family has connections to some of the most disturbing events in the past 100 years?

I humbly present this for discussion only, not as fact – “Gemstone” files style, seeking to promote ddialog. Much of this would never be verifiable if true – run these topics through your favorite “search engine,” see what you find, decide for your self, and share your ideas.

GravatarThe key word is "analyst"; the specific business is not so important.

It sounds like you're in the business I escaped.

GravatarEli, I'm dumb as a stump. What are you saying here?

Just that while I have no especial fondness for banking, I *do* have an affinity for being an analyst, with all its attendant problem-solving, troubleshooting, project management, and database/spreadsheet construction.

Well, THAT's a relief.

OT but lion kitty Maxx is home and doing remarkably well considering that, in the words of the vet this evening, "he actually visited the other side."

I wonder if kitties see a bright light and a tunnel too?

GravatarHey, when do we get to frog-march Sandy Berger?

Is pilfering NSC documents and shredding them prior to appearing before the 9/11 Commission a crime?

Is Berger a

1. Criminal?
2. Traitor?
3. Respected Democratic Foreign Policy Advisor and Lecturer?

Just wondering.

GravatarIf castigating your country is patriotic, is castigating your spouse love?
Do you freely point out his/her faults and shortcomings? Profanely? In public?
If not, why not?
Perhaps, then, castigating your country is not patriotic.

GravatarAnother open thread? Okay.
