This book I've been reading, "The Empire of the Mind," by Michael Strangelove, really puts into perspective how much propaganda American are subjected to by advertisers, media operators and of course the political establishment.
The fact that most people believe the Goopers are actually a patriotic organization dedicated to the welfare of the American people is the most ridiculous ruse and cruel hoax ever foisted on this nation.
It is merely an indicator of how well most of the populace is brainwashed into thinking that predatory capitalism is the "best system" and since the Goopers are the champions of that system, their rivals are, perforce, pretenders or weaklings.
The book is an incredible read.

Jesus, I hate the "neither assertion is wholly accurate" bullshit, because that paragraph is totally contradicted by the "but Bush and his aides had access to much more voluminous intelligence information than did lawmakers, who were dependent on the administration to provide the material."
The way the story is cast makes it sound like Congress is ignoring inconvenient facts. Wrong. They were dependent on Bush to give them the straight dope. Congress has every right to be mad.

Even if that were true, it should not stop the pressure. It's thinking like that that becomes self-fulfilling and makes for Dan Rather's or Bill Maher's departure while O'Reilly and his ilk remain unscathed. What matters is that if Osama O'Reilly survives, he is damaged by this scandal.

Believe I heard a tale of the Coit Tower along the lines of: A wealthy widow, who was a fireman "groupie", built the tower as a "tribute" to the "hoses" of the firemen she had favored. I wrote a letter to Mr. Bland, founder of Lifequotes.com, who advertises on the Fuckter.
He wrote me a nice return email stating how Mr. O'Fuckhead was only using hyperbole, and he does a lot of good.
After all, if I heard Mr. O'Fuckhead, it just proves to this company that it is good that they advertise with him, because I am such an intelligent listener. (yeah, listener.. oy)

I really believe these people are cowards. What I don't understand though is, how does an Ann C., a Rush L., a Shawn H., a Bill O., get away saying what they say? When they go to work, is it like the green zone in Iraq? When they go to work, do they have a police escort , or bodyguards? Sometimes I dream that several of these people will wake up and in their bed they will find a horses head, like in the movie " the Godfather". Then starting from that point in their lives they change and become good Americans. I think in this dream, that they change from fear. And at the end of this dream, the world lives in peace and harmony forever more.
