Surprisingly fair and balanced...
Hmm. Might be something to that theory about what the squeaky wheel gets. Thanx, mediamatters...

Please scroll down to the stevemarvin comment for the most concise and comprehensive critique of Tweety I've ever read.
Please read it; it deserves its own thread, IMO, whether Tweety is "Wanker of the Day" or not.
I tried to post it directly, but that line-break thing wouldn't permit it.
BTW, I can't fault commenters for trying to squeeze in long comments or blocks of text by simply removing all of the blank lines, but I don't think that works.
I'd be interested to see if DWD et al agree that there's limit-- say, ten lines (?)-- of unbroken text beyond which even a literate, curious eye tends to glaze over and move on.
I know that I tend to skip past such "tombstones", as the high school newspaper moderator called them. And I bet many others do too.

"This Week hosts Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger..."
Well we know he's only on for theatrical value and nothing more.
But he is showing up on these Sunday shows far more often lately and far more than most other governors.
Both points seem to prove my own if I may say so myself.
Penalcolony said what I was going to. Thanks mediamatters. Constant bitching and working the refs is what got the Republicans where they are. I'm just glad we've got someone to do it for us now.

John Kerry’ Speech at Boston’s Faneuil Hall: “A Right and Responsibility to Speak Out” -
Hey, isn't it a crime for the president to lie to us in order to start a war?
Seems like a dumb question to me. But, will someone please remind me - IS it a crime? With all this evidence still surfacing about fixing the intel to match the intent, wa wa why is that clown still, today, April 22, 2006, still the president?

Isn't it nice that after five years of woe, an approval rating of 33%, war, debt, gasoline at $4 a gallon, and torture in prisons, we've worked our way back to even on the Sunday morning talk shows?
In what movie is Gloria Ruben playing Condi Rice?

Whatever sells. Although it took a 33% approval rating along with Republicans in general at a low ebb for the corporate media to notice.

why is Schwarzenegger getting on these shows all the time?
I mean, forgive me here, because I sure don't want the same damn Easterners on the shows all the time, either.
But have these producers not HEARD that there are 50 total states?
Has Arnold ever had anything worthwhile to actually say?
I rest my case.

Gloria Ruben is in Stuff Happens, the play by David Hare based on the actual words of all the war criminals....Condi, Rummy, Dick and W.
I will be seeing this play next week.

The levee system in California is worse than it was in New Orleans, we currently have wide spread flooding and the snow hasn't even begun to melt. The Gropinator isn't my favorite person by far, but at least when Northern CA ends up like New Orleans, bush wont be able to blame the governor. The Federal Government just turned down his request for money to fix the VERY old system. I guess it's not enough to have to rebuild one entire city, Northern California will take three times the amount of money to rebuild as New Orleans. FUCK BUSH!

Two possible reasons:
Squeaky wheel/working the refs from the left is working.
Or... the MSM is beginning to believe that the right is not going to setting the agenda much longer than November 2006, and so is trying to hedge their bets.
