We also have a good shot of ousting the Jim Ryun in the state's 2nd Congressional district.
I know we heard a lot of these kinds of testimonials in 2004, but last week I heard a conservative businessman say he was fed up and registering as a Democrat. He said this to a young professional woman, who made the switch two years earlier -- and whose family is close to the GOP circle from which the new lieutenant general emerged.

What I have observed in polls that have done party affiliation breakdowns, is that Independents are polling a helluva lot like Democrats right now, which I think is a double-edged sword.
On the one hand, they're agreeing with *us* now. On the other hand, the Democrats in Congress *aren't*, because they think the 30% are the ones they should be courting.
This is why I think November will be disappointing. A lot of the people responding to polls, saying they think Bush & the Republicans suck and getting us all excited, won't bother to vote in November because they see the Democrats rolling over time & time again.

it's not for lack of effort on the part of the UK. The Terrorism Act of 2005 was pretty US-ish, but at least the UK has justices who are willing to call such practices "an affront to liberty" or "justice."
And in a free society, decisions about such a fundamental social institution as marriage should be made by the people -- not by the courts.
