Will Americans continue to support the commander in chief in this time of war?
When was the war declaration?
Why is Hackett on if his client wasn't there and had nothing to with the Marines in question other than commanding a different company in the same battalion?

i tell you, i remember the strangest shit. my wife can ask me to take out the trash, and i'll mean to do it, but i forget it 30 seconds later, but i remember all the strangest phrases. i think i'm keeping stock of these things to see if there is some sort of narrative. surprisingly, there often is.

I asked myself that same question yesterday. Okay, here is my take on it. Bushco is pissed that MSM slipped up on it and he wasn't prepared yet. So, just like the marching orders for a Dem that speaks publicly they do a BOOM-SWITCH FRAME. LOAD, READY, FIRE!

Always thought he was the perfect public figure to break the ice on the coming thing in men's undergarments, the manssiere.
Matched with the newest style of Depends, Denny can play golf, go horseback riding, hike, sail or do many other outdoor activities with udder confidence.

Speaking of remembering the strangest shit, Poppie, for some reason a charming rant by Terri Garr on just this subject sticks in my mind-- it was on the Letterman show, probably fifteen years ago or more.
They were discussing some factual issue, can't remember what exactly-- say it was the difference between a mile and a kilometer.
Terri bemoaned the fact that there were so many useful, meaningful items that she would prefer to remember-- but that her mind insisted on remembering what it wanted to remember. Thus, Terri opined that our minds betray us by filling their memory banks with useless junk and crowding out worthwhile data, willy-nilly.
"For instance," Terri cried, "I know that Charo was once married to Xavier Cugat! But she isn't any more! What do I care? Why do I remember this stuff?" etc.
It was funny because it was true-- and apparently worth remembering, if I am to trust my mind.

Oh I get it.Paul Hackett used air time on Ed shultz's radio show to accuse Hon.Congessman Murtha of babbling untruths. Why ? because he represents one who participated in the coverup of the murders of innocent Iraqis.
The more Hackett shows up in the media we are getting a glimpse of what a phony and slimeball he his.I nevr heard him say he was connected to one of the marines involved before he made his comments about Murtha.

I agree with you about Hackett and I would also include Rieckhoff. Rieckhoff says that "it's a very irrespopnsible rush to judgment". Someone should inform this liberal hawk that twenty four innocent Iraqi civilians were killed, among them a sixty six year old man in a wheelchair, a seventy five year old grandmother shot in the back, and, I believe, five children shot under the age of ten. Again, someone should inform Rieckhoff that shooting those non-combatants is not exactly a shining paradigm of responsibility unless he believes that it is the job of the Marines to kill and massacre old men, women, and children. Rieckhoff goes on to state that "we need to be working together with the Iraqi people". Pray tell, in what way, by having the U.S. military and this administration pretend that the deaths of these civilians were not butchered by the Marines? The slaughter of these Iraqis, and how they died, will be passed down on the lips of Iraqis for generations to come and all the while liberal hawks like Hackett and Rieckhoff will continue to insist, that, like the neoconservatives, the United States must continue to stupidly stay the course.

I’m back, in Officers and Not So Gentle Men. I’m still in the teeth of this book that I have to review for Simon and Schuster but I couldn’t sit still for this shit going on in Iraq. If these murders in Haditha and Ishaqi aren’t a campaign issue for us later on this year, then there’s no hope for our party.

I didn't like Hackett last night. He was being very cagey and it was unattractive. I understand that now he is defending a marine. Some inauthenticity bells went off.
