I think it behooves us to inundate not only his mailbox but that of his employers with calls for this "entertainment" writer to go back to school to actually learn something.

I hate to say this, but I believe it's true...it all started for me around the time of the 2000 elections. I was still exercising regularly back then, so my BP was only slightly elevated, but the last six years have taken a toll because they've been stressful.

"By fifth column, I meant simply their ambivalence about the outcome of a war on which I believe the future of liberty hangs. Again, I retract nothing."
The above Sullivan quote, from Billmon's commentary on the last thread, tells us everything we need to know about Andy.
Andy's first lie in the quote is to say that the left was 'ambivalent' about the outcome of the war. Nope. We were against the war, period.
The second lie is to state that the 'future of liberty' hangs on the outcome of the war. Please. That is so asinine as to be unworthy of commentary.
Andy ends the harangue by saying he "retracts nothing". Which he pretty much did, kinda, sorta in the opening quote in Billmon's column. And he said that four days ago. While not an out and out lie, it is certainly a retreat from his earlier harshness. We'll just say Andy is being 'intellectually dishonest'.
No, will be heading home this afternoon. Both of my sisters are insane - this one is actually able to function without help - long story.
I hope when I finally reach my dotage I am not quite this crazy. (This sister's problem is that she does not every listen to what you are saying and does whatever the hell she feels like doing. If she had listened yesterday, for example, that we would not be arriving till late afternoon - as I told her - she was expecting us AT noon. ARGHHHH

Yep, that will probably happen. The tweaking, that is.
Pie, my dear, that's great that you got your BP down finally. Alas, I am in the group of folks that doesn't respond well to the medication. The lowest my BP goes (medicated) is 140/90. There are quite a few of us like that, also.

Lamont has a large leads on joe in the primary, it`s obvious he is going to win.
The surprise here is that most polls show Lieberman winning easily in a general election but rasmussen has it dead even and the trend is not very good for joe.

U.S. should not abet violence in Lebanon
The Cleveland Plain Dealer
Saturday, July 22, 2006
Saree Makdisi
Never has the gulf between U.S. and Israeli interests been clearer than during the present crisis. And not since the shameful coverup of the 1967 Israeli bombing of the USS Liberty - in which 34 Navy crewmen were killed - have our politicians done so much to protect Israel's interests at the expense of our own.
We have not been standing idly by as Israel destroys Lebanon's civilian infrastructure, obliterates entire neighborhoods and kills dozens of innocent people.
Not only has our government provided Israel with the weapons with which it is now bombarding Lebanon, it also has provided virtually unlimited financial, military, political and diplomatic support to enable - even encourage - Israel to continue.
When I play videos at the YouTube site, I get the sound, but when I play the embedded ones here I get no sound. Anybody know why?
