"U.S. conservatives frustrated by Republicans"
By John Whitesides and Ed Stoddard Fri Sep 22, 6:55 PM ET
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Religious conservatives voiced frustration on Friday with Republican Party leaders and their failure to push key social initiatives through the U.S. Congress and said it could hurt voter turnout in November's elections.
At a "Values Voters Summit" sponsored by leading religious conservative groups, some activists said
President George W. Bush and Republican leaders showed too much pragmatism and too little concern for issues like abortion, immigration and banning gay marriage.
Boy, these freaks won't let up!

They have only terorized the innocent, and the American taxpayer. the heartland has no brain. those who want to ban torture are called Americans, as it always has beem. The Saudi intelligence report states that bin Laden's geographic isolation "rendered all medical assistance impossible. Indeed, U.S. intelligence sources have long believed bin Laden was hiding in remote parts of Pakistan, close to the border with Afghanistan, areas where sophisticated medical help would be difficult to obtain.

When my parents bought in Lake City, Co., the deal was they had to buy two houses or none. There were two houses for sale next door to each other. So they redid the big one for themselves, and then redid the little one and rented it.
My mom was a big gardener and had a lovely vegetable and berry garden out back, and a potato hill on the edge of the yard. The woman who was renting next door was out back one day and Mom was talking to her about the yards and Mom asked her what some plants were that were growing behind the little house - said she'd never seen them before. The woman said: I really don't want to tell you - you won't like me anymore. Which was all it took for Mom to know. It cracked her up, actually.

In the past 12 months, dozens of U.S. immigration employees have been accused of corruption-related charges. Some cases, drawn from a review of court records and government announcements, and listed by agency:
- David Duque Jr., a Border Patrol agent since the mid-1990s, faces up to 15 years in prison at his November sentencing after pleading guilty to bribery and the unlawful transfer of documents. While being recorded by investigators, Duque sold some 70 identification documents to a source cooperating with law officers - including passports, birth certificates, green cards and Social Security cards. He also took a $5,000 bribe to allow cocaine through a highway checkpoint in Falfurrias, Texas.
There's more, including an agent who was distributing a stash of confiscated marijuana.

"Berming Baghdad
U.S. and Iraqi authorities are hoping that old-style walls and trenches can protect the capital. Local residents are less convinced."
This is so scary. That poor city and its people.

Hellkitty, you think you're quick on the uptake? Wikipedia had Bin Laden listed as a victim of typhoid at about 7 a.m. Eastern

[Monkey Boy] Bush and Republican leaders showed too much pragmatism and too little concern for issues like abortion, immigration and banning gay marriage.
Boy, these freaks won't let up!
