Now 0.2m is 20cm, and 59cm + 20cm is 79cm, which is similar to 88cm.
It's too early for codebreaking.

Quick. Somebody call NBC.
(and this is in the same vein as Gilliard saying it's the mom's fault because that kid out West made it onto a plane to Texas, fooling TSA and the airline.
people need to quit it with this perfect mom crap. there are no perfect moms. or dads. or kids. life isn't perfect.)

OT: Just heard that my aunt died. Hope she finds her way to a peaceful place. She was a wonderful person with nary a bad word about anyone.
She was the youngest (of eight) in my father's family and the next to last still living. She was eighty something and in pain: but it is still hard to lose one of the good ones.
Is it permitted to still discuss the thread below? Because, FUCKING WORD.
I mean, two-thirds of the reason I didn't want kids for so long was that I couldn't stand being inaugurated into this society of competitive bitches who snipe at anybody who doesn't do things their way. I get enough of that shit directed my way for being married and NOT have kids.
TJ--as left rev says, if it doesn't involve bleeding, breakage or unconsciousness, it's not an emergency

NOT "having" kids, I mean. Like the only purpose of marriage is breeding.
Reynolds is an asshole. He's willfully obtuse. Grasping on every single straw.
What a marooon.

Kids loved coming to my house because I'd leave them the fuck alone and just periodically check to make sure no one died.

Ditto. One of my four year old's friends is watched so carefully that she gets nervous at our house because I don't stya in the room with them while they play. I'm usually out wasting my time on some blog.

There are three brothers who live in the neighborhood, probably between 7-11. Their Mom and Dad basically let them run/bike around and do 'normal' kid things. Some times they're pests whithout regard to personal property, but I like that they're not too controlled.

Athenae--it's insane. Mlle attended a play group so that her baby could meet some other kids. She went once and never went back; said it was so freaking competitive and the mothers were so overprotective it was insane. (Her baby touched another child's face and that child's mother flipped out.)

Sallyh, eeesh. Did you happen to catch the ep of ER where Abby takes her baby to the group thing and all the other mothers bust on her for having a backpack instead of a sling?
"Mommy and Me was a freakshow."
You know, I live in the city, and I get no end of shit from distant relatives and stuff about how you can't raise a child in an apartment. Why the fuck not? It's working out fine for my next door neighbor. Her kid is the sweetest kid on earth. He helps me carry groceries and calls me Mrs. A.

The reason there are so few commments on this item is that we don't care about Glenn Reynolds, Duncan. We know he's deluded, the same thing we've learned about Hitchens and Kaus. It's not interesting to read them anymore.

Only a true wanker would take on an expert in a different--and highly technical-- field based on the wanker's most superficial understanding of the topic.
And it's a perfect example of the difference between being wrong and being a wanker.

I wonder, does Broder ever read those nasty Repug blogs, or he just a partisan armchair pundit?
winner, my cousin's lived in tennessee for quite a few years when the dad was a sociology professor. you are right.
once when he was grding papers, i looked through several, and i don't care if the class was sociology 101, they were so simplistic. oh, even as an art major, i woulda graded way WAY harder.
shame it's such a pretty state.

Duncan, dude -- you post on a guy's one-line post on another guy's post about the comment of a fourth guy on yet another site about a report that none of them wrote.
Bump up a level -- read a book or go to a movie. This one is a "gotcha" at a pretty blog-incestuous level.
