I know this isn't likely to make me popular with some folks, but I have a problem with Killfile. Seems to me that it's a bit too easy. I used to go to a church where you could be wrapped up in caring and love on Sunday morning, but they'd never go out into the neighborhood to engage in actually helping people. It might be too dangerous, since the church was near the "black" part of town, you know, and the poor tended to be unwashed and therefore whiffy.

I’ve just received word that Mad Magazine pioneer and Little Annie Fanny co-creator Will Elder died earlier this morning. He was 86 years old. I have no specifics regarding the cause of death; the funeral will take place on Sunday in New Jersey.
The debate over the whole issue has produced arguments like yours as well as arguments about the importance of having more women in politics in general and about the misogyny that Chris Matthews and some other pundits have demonstrated.
After the primary here I came back from voting and said to friends how proud I was to actually see a ballot with the name of an african american on it.
One of my friends said, "were't you proud to see a woman's name on the ballot?"
me, "wtf?? I've been voting for women politicians at all levels for 30 years. We'll get a woman president eventually"
The worst thing for me was Hillary saying that she and John McCain had the experience necessary for the job.
I don't know for a fact, but I'd bet her polling went down immediately after that.

yes, it wasn't just weird, it was massively creepy. I had to clean up the mess and in some odd way, I felt responsible for it all. The mother is kind of "broken" and perhaps I should have tried to take them and nurse them, but it was all too much at the time.
Now I have to make sure I get her FIXED in the next couple of weeks!
