In The Washington Post's review of the film in 1993, critic Desson Howe referred to "a Mickey Kantor comment about the people of Indiana (when it looks as though Clinton's ahead in Dan Quayle's state)."
And a 1995 story in the Sydney Morning Herald said that "As for the good folk of Indiana, they are still recovering from the 1993 documentary War Room, which revealed the grim truth behind the Clinton election campaign. It showed Mr Kantor bursting in on election night to tell other campaign staffers that incredibly, Mr Clinton was doing well even in Republican Indiana. 'And those people are s---!' he declared breathlessly."
"It seems to me that it is long past time that we remedy this inequity. It doesn't reflect American values; it is out of step with the move towards equality and full citizenship rights, and I will do everything I can to make sure the people of Guam's vote are counted."

have you heard any good music lately?A first for Saudis: Mozart performed publicly and women come
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) - It's probably as revolutionary and groundbreaking as Mozart gets these days. A German-based quartet staged Saudi Arabia's first-ever performance of European classical music in a public venue before a mixed gender audience.
The concert, held at a government-run cultural center, broke many taboos in a country where public music is banned and the sexes are segregated even in lines at fast food outlets.
The Friday night performance could be yet another indication that this strict Muslim kingdom is looking to open up to the rest of the world.
A few weeks ago, King Abdullah made an unprecedented call for interfaith dialogue with Christians and Jews - the first such proposal from a nation that forbids non-Muslim religious services and symbols.

At first I thought the reference to Jake was Chinatown. At the end, after all hell has broken loose, and Nicholson (J.J. Gittes) looks down at what's left of Dunaway (Evalyn Mulwray), Gittes' partner pulls him aside, and says, "Forget it Jake; it's Chinatown."
Bush musta seen the movie before he took the oath of office. In a tender post-coital moment, Dunaway asks Nicholson what he did in Chinatown, when he was a cop.
"As little as possible," he answers.
And that's just what Bush did to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and its citizens.
As little as possible.

Bjorn, did you read the transcript?
Based on that, and what I saw, the Kantor-Carville-L'l George exhanges are about the great poll results. Even in Indiana! Where they sure don't think a Clinton lead will hold. As it did not. The people shitting themselves are those then in the WH, Poppy Bush and his people.
The first review just says they say something about people from Indiana. The Sydney review seems to hear something else -- but they just might be having trouble with the American accents? Just a thought. Conversation in real time isn't always easy to follow on documentaries.
So, there's the transcript.
And there's the YouTube.
And, there's the topic being discussed: the polls. Gee, can't imagine a political opertive saying the pollsters are full of it....
she's actually very well known around Asia.

Fine they're citizens, but that doesn't mean their votes count in a Presidential election, because they don't. Just like Puerto Ricans, their votes are entirely symbolic.
Changing that would require some sort of constitutional adjustment. Unless they wanted to move to the US, which really wouldn't make them residents of Guam, now, would it?
