There's a story I've kept under my hat for a couple of days. This seems like a good time to tell it.
Over the years I've run into Clifford Alexander at a number of places I've worked, and we've developed a very casual "Hi, howya doin'?" acquaintance. We sometimes talk a little politics... I remember his being very incensed over the Scooter Libby pardon. He used to handle pardon requests as a senior counsel in the Johnson White House, and he said: "There are established procedures for these things, but these clowns think they can do whatever they want, with total impunity."
He was in shopping the other morning, and I went over and shook hands. He was wearing an Obama for President cap, and I said "I like your hat."
"Do you?"
"Yeah," I said. "I'm an Edwards guy, but I'm feeling pretty comfortable with Obama... frankly, it was Michelle who closed the deal for me."
"Well," he said, "we've known them for over fourteen years. What they appear to be is exactly who they are."
I was really moved when he said this... it wasn't anything I asked, but I guess it was exactly what I wanted to hear.

Oh, I thought the superdelegates were there because almost all of the Democratic primaries award delegates proportionally, whereas the GOP primaries are winner-take-all. The GOP disenfranchises its primary voters right off the bat, the Democrats allow for some negotiation and deal making.

That said, I don't know what else has been included with that group; there should be some way to resolve the pycnogonid/arthropod relationship in a molecular phylogeny.

As long as he doesn't keep increasing the dosage he should be OK. If he takes it long enough he might have to be weaned off it, but that stuff is FOR severe pain and people should take it if they need it.
