GravatarSegundo!

GravatarThird on Thread!

GravatarHome Run?

GravatarYesssssssssssssssssssssss!

GravatarI called sheets before I posted anything. Honest.

GravatarOh, great, the old produce market torture!

GravatarIt's lonely at the top.

GravatarPretty Produce in Catalonia!

GravatarIt's lonely at the top.
plantsman, areligious

You love it, admit it.

GravatarIt's been a long time; and yes, I love it.

GravatarIf you flood the market with tomatoes we're going to have stagmato.

GravatarThem 'maters look so good they'd make you wanna slap yer granmama.

GravatarImagine all the heirloom varieties you could glean just by saving some of those seeds!

Gravatarbut Ketsup is a Rethug veggie.

GravatarBut ketchup has Lycopene, and Teresa Heinz Kerry controls it!

GravatarThese are Chinese green tomatoes grown for export to the USA.

Covered in red lead paint.

GravatarArabella, honey, things aren't that bleak, dear!

GravatarI hope GWPDA does check that house in Trail, BC out, and finds there are no lead-pollution problems!

GravatarGrown locally. So at least you have resistance to any germs.

Gravatar,i>I hope GWPDA does check that house in Trail, BC out, and finds there are no lead-pollution problems!

It's a great house; hope it works out for her. If the Borg ever release her from servitude, that is.

I'd want to know what the groundwater situation is, too. However I have a very pollyannaish belief about Canada -- that they're vigilant about such things.

GravatarOoh, look at those ripply, big 'maters at lower left, they look like "Brandywines". Yum! Crisp up some bacon, y'all!

Ummm... chinese have red tomatoes. actually had one for dinner not so long ago.

Have a few new tomato seedlings coming up. But this is not a great tomato growing climate.

GravatarTrue, plantsman. I think I'm starting to pull myself out of the abyss.

Just jealous about the tomatoes.

gwb: Didn't make the cheerleading squad. Storms off to Crawford in a huff.

Definitely not Brandywines. I think they are an Italian or French tomato. Once in a while you can see them on sale here.

GravatarTom, any climate is fine for growing bean sprouts, tho.

GravatarI'd imagine heat and humidity let some nasty pathogens flourish on tomatoes in your area, Tom.

GravatarMorning, all

GravatarI wonder if pot was legal if you could have marijuana honey like they have clover honey. Set the bees loose on the bud. Would the honey get you high*?

*this is a theoretical botany discussion Mr. DEA man. Don't raid my house.

Unfortunately I don't have to imagine... grumble grumble grumble...

on the other hand I noticed a flower on one of my sweetsops today while cleaning up after the tropical storm.

GravatarUmmm... chinese have red tomatoes. actually had one for dinner not so long ago.

joking, joking.

GravatarIn Berlin, in German markets, I never saw anything approaching a ripe tomato -- At Turkish bazaars, though...

GravatarThat's one heck of an article by Foser, linked on the thread below.

Selecting rulers based on false anecdotes from the press. Nice.

Gravatarinteresting, joejoejoe, since there've been huge marijuana growing operations in Dallas the past few weeks, we may have a lot of tipsy honey users.

Gravatar,i>Would the honey get you high*?

joejoejoe

Doubt it. And I don't think it would taste very good.

GravatarMaybe I should just give up trying to tag. I don't seem to be very good at it any more.

GravatarTomates.

And I bet for not mucho Euros.

Good morning.

Or buenas tardes Atrios.

GravatarEnd Global Warming. Buy a Push Mower

Article written by the religion editor at the local rag. He's an acquaintance of mine, and relatively liberal. He's also the pop of one of Audrey's bandmates.

GravatarMale pot pollen will not elevate one, and this is more than theory. Female, being very sticky, rubs off less easily.

GravatarAudrey and her bf feeling better?

GravatarPlantsman, yeah, thanks for asking.

GravatarI know one thing, those didn't come from Publix!

GravatarI had 5 different kinds of tomatoes this year. A whopping 2 sprouted, and of those, 1 put out maybe 8 tomatoes total while the other got about 7 feet tall and out of control, flowered a lot, but didn't fruit once.

GravatarIt is a good year for tomatoes around here, too.

GravatarLooks like La Boqueira in Barcelona.

Gravatarhttp://www.gophila.com/C/Philly_...Market/ 499.html

GravatarAs a philadelphia resident and fan of tomatos, I demand that you disclose this location, or I shall be forced to besmirch your name with accusations of tomato market hoarding!

GravatarHaving lived in your neighborhood, I'm guessing Reading Terminal?

(Obvious, I know, but still the best FM I've ever seen.)

GravatarMy mouth is watering, looking at those tomatoes. Mon dieu.

GravatarRead somewhere that some journalizt heard from someone who was told by someone who read it somewhere that some consultant told the vendor to put all the red tones together to make the tomatoes more popular.
Could be an exaggeration, though.

Gravatar"UNDISCLOSED LOCATION" jheesh...from this picture and the other one earlier it's obvious to me you're in a market in Baghdad. Well that was easy - John McCain, calling John McCain...Joe...Joe....anybody? David?
