Afternoon everyone. I know somebody no doubt mentioned earlier the death of Richard Widmark, but I wanted to take a moment and remind people of the goodness of this guy's personality.
He made a career out of playing hardbitten tough guys who were quick on the trigger. But he absolutely hated guns. Came through town back in the '70s for some reason and consented to a brief interview in which he lamented the fact that this nation refused to put many limits on the use of firearms.
He was also really shy, something we don't often see in celebrities anymore.
