John Cabral, a member of the Oak Park Coalition for Truth and Justice, an anti war group in suburban Chicago, said Obama now seems more concerned with avoiding Republican accusations of harming the troops than ending the war. "It's disappointing that he got swallowed up in the Senate in his two years there," Cabral said. "He didn't do some of the things we would have liked him to. He is worried about his political future."
willey was caught lying to ken starr twice. Both times starr decided not to prosecute her. Surprise. In one case the woman who came forward and told the truth was prosecuted. How bad a liar do you have to be to get caught by a partisan witch hunt that will believe anything you say?
Here is one lie:
The crux of the case: Willey told Starr's prosecutors -- and later, a national television audience -- that she was groped by the president in the Oval Office in November 1993 (a charge Clinton denies). She said she told Steele about it the day it happened. But Steele says she first heard about it four years later when Willey asked her to lie and corroborate Willey's version to a Newsweek reporter.
Steele sticks by the version she gave to federal agents and two grand juries -- that she did lie at first as a favor to Willey but that she later recanted when she realized the magazine was going to print the story and name her. http://www.washingpost.com/wp-
sr...teele050399.htm
The newsweek reporter they ran to with their lie was isikoff. He is still there. Still printing lies.

Well, this has been quite an adventure, and it's not over yet. I'm still having problems with leaving comments, and I guess for now, I'll have to say goodbye to my gravatar. But all I can say is, I've missed chatting with you folks more than I would have imagined.

So imagine any of the Big 3, running in the general, having skated by on their indefensible "split the difference" Iraq plans because the media ignored the issue and the brilliant Democratic primary voters decided that anyone with a tough position on Iraq was "unelectable". The Republicans will have a field day.

Okay. Read the linked article by Jake Tapper, circa 1999, who seemed oddly charmed by the "fightin Irish" antics of the Buchanan family.
So Hank Buchanan goes to murder Shearer and ends up terrorizing Shearer's housemates and a couple of college kids who live next door.
Bay Buchanan's reaction: "This is a terrible setback for Hank and his family."
Leave it to these bleeding heart conservatives to have compassion only for the perpetrators. What about the victims, Bay, what about the victims.

Does anyone believe that a manufactured "attack" on the US could result in the current administration refusing to step down due to the "emergency"?
therealhellkitty
Yes. But it doesn't have to be manufactured. They have been preparing their excuses for another attack since 9/11. "We have to be right 100 percent of the time, they have to be right only once." and of course "They didn't give us the tools we wanted to get the info. We had the guy who could have told us the date and time of the attack, real actionable intelligence.

The entire Buchanan family is batshit crazy...
I expect we will be seeing them all at Tommy Tancredo's last stand at the border.

(Jake Tapper 1999 article)
"Bay Buchanan, sister to Hank, Pat and Thomas, told the Associated Press that Hank "has had lots of problems." He was raised in a brawling, Irish-Catholic family where Sen. Joe McCarthy and Franco were heroes and fighting was acceptable as long as you won."
This is today's Republican Party in a nutshell...FASCIST.
How many other of today's Fascist Republicans had as their heroes Sen. Joe "red-baiting" McCarthy and Generalissimo "who's still dead" Franco? Yes, these two were ardent anti-Communists, but these two right-wing "heroes" were also Fascist totalitarians. Franco even ran right-wing death squads, a precursor to all the right-wing-sponsored death squads since.
So, the Republican Party of today has substituted their anti-Communist positiion for a pro-Fascism agenda, for both the world and our nation, with two Fascist Republicans, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, leading the way, with a whole lot of Franco-loving, McCarthy-loving Fascist Republican followers.
Hell, the Fascist Republicans even have their own version of a right-wing death squad...Blackwater.

I remember this story like it was yesterday. Pat Buchanan's brother was mentally ill...not sure if he's still alive.

Matthews is a shit--plain and simple. I am so glad that here in New England, I can watch the Barefoot Contessa at 5 pm and at least learn something constructive. Matthews is like an old biddy who does nothing but gossip all day long. At 6 p.m. I watch Market Watch on PBS and the BBC News at 7--takes up my time and spares me Matthews.
It seems to me that he desperately wants to be one of the "cool" kids. If that is what passes for cool in DC in this day and age, I'm glad I left that city when I did. That was in the days when Matthews was mooching around for someone to pick up the tab for his lunch--looks like not much has changed in 20 years.
If everyone stops watching him, his ratings drop and his $5 million per year contract gets cancelled and he'll be off the air.

matthews is not shit, please see my response at veracifier.com.
the story is factually inaccurate, and cody shearer was recently arrested for tax evasion. hes also in trouble for using the money from taxes to take little boys to dinners. im not even making this up
when you post these stories and say matthews reporting is shit, you are reinforcing the pressure matthews endured to apoligze about the shearer story.
because that story is true. and now the latest story on shearer isn't being reported except by us at veracifier and only because we have friends who work with him
