OT: A scanner built for a hospital in Norfolk ended up 10,000 miles away in Australia after a medical mix-up.
Technicians installing equipment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in King's Lynn, found it was not quite what the doctor ordered.
They found a CT scanner built for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide was sent to the Fens, while a scanner ordered by the QEH had gone down under.
The machines have now been dismantled to be shipped to their correct homes.
"There's probably a shipping clerk sitting in an office very miserable," QEH spokesman Richard Humphries said.

Since that takes to long to say, they selected a few words and made it "National Security Democrats".

Is it still wrong to ask why someone can post on their blog quoting this about the McCain supporter calling Hillary a "bitch":
"If you don't like Clinton's stance on, say, health care or Iraq, there are plenty of ways to say so without invoking her gender."
and stating this:
"I'll just add that one needn't call names to denigrate Clinton, or any woman, for being a woman."
is not being a hypocrite for then writing this:
"[I'm sure DiFi realizes her error...]
I hope SF realizes its error: sending that bitch back to DC."

it's nice that middle class and professional americans, democratic and republican, both believe that their favored candidates will govern to the left. I've met many NPRs (nice polite republicans) who have steadfastly believed that all that red meat for the wingers is just what people say to get elected and, of course, they have to govern responsibly anyways. Evidence is not effective against this belief.

I think Senator Clinton would be great, as that would mean President Clinton would be back involved with policy. It would be a good role for him, as he's matured and learned a lot since his time in office.
Both of them get a lot of flack for not being liberal enough, but it seems to me that they are simply conscientious about not wearing it on their sleeves, so to speak.

Nationwide protests against the rising cost of fuel have failed to attract as many demonstrators as organisers hoped.
Protests were planned at oil refineries across the UK, but only a small number of people braved the cold to turn up.
In Southampton, 25 people attended the largest demonstration of the day. But in Essex, another protest consisted of a single pensioner.
Organisers insisted the fight against rising fuel prices would continue into the New Year.
As the kids would say, I think that was a number 2.

Relative inflation of fuel costs in the UK is far below that of the US in recent years - the result of an appreciating currency and high fuel taxes.
