The interesting thing about this song and the other I am sending is that they were performed live, many years after being first recorded. If you listen, you will find an amazing injection of emotion into the song. Not loud but very subtle. It is simply wonderful.

I saw him perform and he ws very very good. But, like all folk music, once you past the songs and into the form: it can leave a lot to be desired.
Yet, people like Peter Gabrial have done a great job of exploding the expectations of the medium.

That was made before the factory was refurbished. They used to make all the shit guitars: Kingston, Cort, Aria Diamond, all the crap. Greg Bennett was given a very generous budget to redesign the line of instruments and the factory floor. Now many of the Ibanez and Epiphone premium pieces are made there. I have two electrics from the new factory; both are the best examples of the styles I have ever owned, and were very inexpensive.

There are some weird rules for scooters, though, like instead of a left turn, at most intersections you take a mini-right into the stop-area of the cross street and turn completely around and wait.

There should be no shortage of either brand, there, and they're both amazing scooters. For my money, you can't get any better Taiwanese scooters in the U.S.
The right/u-turn: I use it at certain, safe intersections in Nashville, as well. The scooter often won't trigger the left turn signal, and although it's legal for any two-wheeler to treat any red light as a stop sign in TN, it's not always a safe proposition. So that maneuver comes in handy, sometimes.

The project consisted of chucking marked coconuts into the ocean and seeing where they ended up. Second day into the project, a major hurricane hit. He got caught out in it and was missing for a while. But they found him, wet but not much the worse for wear. I never saw the coconut data but I'm told he continued and finished the project. Hurricane probably would have warranted a major asterisk in the analysis.

I received a phone call today from a relative, who told me that an ex-friend of mine ( whom I haven't spoken to for over 2 years, for reasons we don't need to go into)had recently suffered a tragedy in his life. His oldest son, 26, passed away suddenly. I'm not sure why, but I suspect it is due to pre-existing medical reasons. He wants me to call him. The reasons I decided to put him out of my life was completely warranted. I knew him and his son from the time he was born. Should I call him? I put him out of my life 2 years ago, and at that point I needed a new start. I'm not sure what I should do.

Honestly, almost every place I liked has closed down. Vik's is great if you can make it to Berkeley. Udupi Palace is good. Helmand is good, assuming it's still open. Millennium's great if you don't mind dropping $100 for two people. And there are still some good Cambodian and Thai and Middle Eastern places. But by and large, the town's been taken over by lookalike yuppie places that are awash in duck confit.
