GravatarAhaa

Gravatarstop that

GravatarWhy? It's saturday morning. And maybe mer is around.

Gravatarspinoza,

:rocket:

GravatarOK, enough of that. Now you cannot post for another 20 minutes. Go in your corner.

GravatarSomeone accused Michelle Obama of making her
"I'm tired of living in fear" remarks "purposely."

"Ok," I thought -- "and your problem with that is....?"

Gravatarfrom below; Marcellina, my crusty ol' father/gramps types all wanted to line 'em up and shoot 'em too, only it wasn't ethnicist, it was racist.

Hillary bashing is neocon!

GravatarSome people's wives have opinions.

Apparntly, that scares the so-called liberal media....

GravatarReminded me of the TV screen thats lost the horizontal hold.

Brown people are not allowed to get uppity and all that.

Gravatarpurposefully making remarks, is Mrs. Obama? Is that saying speaking mindlessly is the New Black?

Gravatar-------->mer

GravatarApparntly, that scares the so-called liberal media....

I've been looking for that, must have been displaced some 20 years ago.

GravatarWeren't some of you asking about Sarah Deere yesterday morning? She was here posting at around 4:00 EST. this morning.

Gravatarif padilla is a really bad guy and needs to be sequestered for our protection, one place he could go is to be confined for life to walker's point, paid for by walker family money

Gravatar Ms. Obama's remarks struck me as entirely timely and apt. The GOP has been using the "Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid" shtick forever, and I'm sick of it, too. One can't live mindfully while constantly
afraid -- at least I can't.

GravatarSome people's wives have opinions. Apparntly, that scares the so-called liberal media...

If only she had a big pair of tits falling out of a lowcut dress.

And a non-existent law degree...

Gravataryeah well we always knew teh US gubmint could disappear anyone....however, i never hear representatives speak about our over-reaching fascist policies - no one is on the side of 'real-freedom for people from tyranny, be it state or corporate'

GravatarThe GOP wants only white people to be afraid. They are the only ones that "really count."

GravatarFrom the link; that Jose Padilla was tortured is an indictmen of our entire system of 'justice' - his conviction is an atrocity.

GravatarRemember those unwanted Halloween "treats", "Dum-Dum" lollipops? We always felt burned if we got those.

GravatarVia the SF Kronk, Headline of the Day:

Global warming watchdog invests in oil, coal, utilities

Ooooh, that Ahnuld - such a "new" Republican!

GravatarWell, it beats the hell out of having a first lady who ran over a boyfriend purposely.

GravatarRuth, it's an atrocity that a US citizen was held for years without due process.

Gravatar"Hey -- it's Saturday.

That means I'm allowed to bash Hillary!!!!!!"

bash away!!! (but no reason to hold it to one day a week)

"The GOP has been using the "Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid" shtick forever, and I'm sick of it, too. One can't live mindfully while constantly"

i agree. in fact, why hasn't a candidate said it, and why is it up to her?

this used to be a country of hope and promise and great dreams. the only thing we have to fear...etc. now, it's just 'you had damn well better be afraid' 24/7.

it's sickening.

GravatarGlobal warming watchdog invests in oil, coal, utilities

Ah yes, the good old GOP "Foxes in charge of the Henhouse" school of governance!

GravatarKarin, true, and it's truly an atrocity for all those 'detainees' who aren't citizens, too. Most of them 'turned in' for money.

GravatarFDR 1932: "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

GOP 2007: "The only thing we have to offer is fear itself."

GravatarPadilla as a citizen of the US was denied many of his rights guaranteed by the Constitution. The right to habeas corpus and counsel for starters. His torture was and is criminal and those who carried it out should be indicted.

Bushboy, who took an oath to defend and protect the US Constitution lied as usual and not only did neither but violated the same Constitution in his zeal to make Padilla an "example."

What happened to Padilla could happen to any other American and it could happen again so long as the depraved moron remains in power.

Gravatarmore spinoza sheets for mer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GravatarHeh-- the Salem Witch Trials were, in the end, all about money, or grabbing up somebody else's property.

GravatarI'd like the moderator of a Republican candidates' debate to ask:

"In 2000 and 2004, you told us that if we put "conservatives" like George Bush into office, everything would be way better in every way. We did what you suggested, and nothing's worked out like you said it would. Why on Earth should we listen to any of you now?"

GravatarI'm sorry, but the Democrats are hopeless and I see no sign that even if they win big in 08 they will ever do the right thing.
steve simels

Agreed. That is my position as well, I am very sorry to say. I have come to this after much thought and observation. These last few months since the installation of the new congress have absolutely convinced me of this. They will provide peanuts for the crowd and steal the gate for themselves.

People: we are in deep shit here and no one seems to realize it. On any issue the fact is that the majority of Americans are at cross-purposes with the stated positions of our government: not the Republican or Democratic positions; the GOVERNMENT'S position.

Think of the issues: Immigration, trade, the war, health care, gun control, equal opportunity, offshore tax shelters, infrastructure investment, investment education and on and on.

Our government does not believe that people in this country should have
a voice in these decisions. They have abdicated their representation of the people in favor of the special interests who are paying their way.

On any of those issues listed above the stated positions of the MAJORITY of Americans is clearly a position that is unacceptable to the unholy trinity of mega corporations/ government/super wealthy in our society.

I am not sure what to do with it but I do know that electing a few more Dems will not do it. . . .

GravatarTorture is sexy.
The broken bodies, the contortions, the bloody noses... all of it is art in the making!

MYOB'

GravatarI just don't want to be in this country anymore.
