From below, because I want to be clear on this:
To me, Edwards talks to people who have reached a point in their lives where they've made the big choices -- where to live, what to do, who to spend their lives with -- and just want to be able to keep doing those things, and survive the curveballs life throws at them.
Obama speaks to people for whom some or all of those big choices are still to be made, and life is there to be shaped in profound ways.
I don't think that's true.
Yes, I'm older, but the change he's talking about won't change things for me, it will make things better for the next generation.

Just got home--turn on the TV and there's a debate! On a Saturday night!!! Wow, yes, there is. Must have a huge viewership.
Heard Hillary--sounded in command of the issue, seemed rational and connected. Obama is not as good responding to questions as with a prepared speech or a long stump time. Edwards made good points.
Hillary; talking about the clear delineation between how Dems debate, what they talk about, and how the ReThugs do it. (But Michael Barone says the candidates don't discuss issues--idiot.)
Richardson making up for his Whizzer White comment...very funny.
Edwards--teasing Hillary about her jacket. Said she looked terrific tonight.
Obama--Stark contrast between Dems and ReThugs. Talking about fundamental difference between any Dem nominee and any ReThug nominee. All Dems should be excited about this.
Charlie Gibson actually sounded sincere in thanking the candidates for being there. (Uh, what about the poor shlub left out of the ReThug debate, Ron Paul, while Il Douche included?)
Richardson: i said whizzer white was awesome and i learned he was against against civil rights
Edwards: i teased Hillary about her jacket and tonight she looks hot
Obama: like Hillary i say we must bring people together and crush the Republican evil
Gibson: i want to the thank the Republicans for participating and when we come back we will have a Nixon acolyte and Bill Clinton's Triangulator!

I don't know what salaries are at Princeton, but I do know that they have a huge endowment, which helps with salaries.
Full professors at Princeton are the third highest-paid professors in the country and the second highest-paid in the Ivy League, according to a new report published last week by the American Association of University Professors.
The University's 457 full professors earned an average annual salary of $145,600 — about 8 percent less than professors at Harvard, the highest paying school, and roughly 7 percent less than professors at the Rockefeller University, a graduate and research institution in New York City and the second-highest paying.
Associate professors at Princeton earned an average of $92,400; assistant professors $70,900 and instructors $56,400. Salaries for these positions varied significantly among the top 10 best-paying institutions.

I raise my glass to you, my good sir. Actually, my bottle's empty and the lingering aftertaste, and my impressionable disposition has me believing it wasn't as tasty as I thought!
It isn't awful, that isn't what I'm saying, but it palls after a glass or two and there are champagnes you can off a whole bottle of all by yourself and go around looking for more.
I'm off to France next Friday, and I will, I assure you report back to you about The Beaver.
Hey, you guys, it's a bar in Paris, okay? Just don't google "beaver" and "paris" to find out. Trust me.

Wiki Born in Evanston, Illinois, Gibson moved to Washington, D.C., when he was 12. He attended the prestigious Sidwell Friends School, a private college-preparatory school in the city. Gibson graduated from Princeton University where he was news director for the university radio station, WPRB-FM and a member of Princeton Tower Club. He now serves on Princeton's Board of Trustees. Originally, Gibson planned to go into law, but reconsidered when he determined his grades were not sufficient for top tier law schools.

Gibson's wife Arlene is an educator who recently retired as Head of School at the Spence School in New York. She has also held positions at other schools in New York and New Jersey and was the head of the middle school at the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore in the 1980s.

Gibson is widely perceived as friendly and approachable, yet highly professional. In an interview on Fox News Channel, Gibson's elevation to WNT was praised by Brit Hume, anchor of the cable network's Special Report and Gibson's former colleague at ABC News.
On June 17, 2007, Charles Gibson delivered the commencement address to the class of 2007 at Union College's 213th graduation ceremonies. Gibson received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters during the ceremony, as well as a framed copy of his father's 1923 College yearbook entry. His father, Burdett, grew up in Schenectady, NY and graduated from the College in 1923. Gibson contributed an estimated $75,000 to Union College to help create the Burdett Gibson Class of 1923 Scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a deserving student in need.
Gibson donated $85,000 to Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA to establish the Lang Gibson II Music Scholarship Fund in memory of his late brother who died in early 2006.

THIS guy is going to die a knucklehead:
After 899 wins, Bob Knight is as feisty as ever.
With about 7 1/2 minutes remaining in the first half of Texas Tech's 75-68 win over UTEP on Saturday, Knight lost his right shoe when he kicked the front of the scorer's table.
The coach was upset about a charging call against Esmir Rizvic. Shortly after replacing his shoe, he strode the length of table during a timeout and apparently told a Big 12 and NCAA official seated there to keep an eye on the officiating.
Less than a minute later, he got a technical for arguing with officials about a call on Charlie Burgess on Randy Culpepper's breakaway attempt.
While Stefon Jackson and Culpepper made free throws, Knight continued to stand and talk to the referee as his son, head coach designate Pat Knight, tried to encourage his father to return to the bench.

Yep. We have a Cotes du Rhone Villages (Domaine Grand Veneur "Les Champauvins") that's from a single vineyard that's adjacent to CdP, just outside the zone. The owner says you can throw a rock from his vineyard into CdP.
We sell it for 15.99 and it's as good or better than most Chateauneuf du Pape for double the price. Parker gave it 90 points, but I like it anyway
