GravatarYou sure it's not good news for Mittens?

GravatarThe last couple of days bring out why the Obama camp has been calling for Hillary to drop out since January.

yes, but they're likeable. The Rangers...them i loathe.

GravatarMomentum? Hell, Hillary's approaching escape velocity...

GravatarI guess the math may actually be a net gain of 10 for Obama.

He went up 9 and Clinton went down 1 so a net 10.

I'm not sure though so I'm leaving the post alone.

GravatarI hate to break it to you, but you ran the bases the wrong way. Yer out.

Damn. That's the story of my life.

GravatarEarlier this afternoon, Oregon AFSCME voted to endorse Barack Obama for President. Previously, the national AFSCME organization had endorsed Hillary Clinton.

Oregon AFSCME becomes the only state organization in the country - other than Illinois AFSCME, in Obama's home state - to break ranks with the national.

Is the primary season over now? Barack has answered his critics to his critic's satisfaction. The delegates continue to fall his way. GravatarAccording to Sollie, more than 15 years ago the state of Mississippi entered into an agreed order and assigned Jackson attorney Ron Welch to be the overseer of facilities that hold state inmates — be it a county jail or state penitentiary.

“In order for a county jail to hold or house state inmates, it has to be certified,” he said. “Ron Welch has to make a site visit, and he drafts up an order — that is signed by him, a representative from the county and a representative from the attorney general’s office — that states that he has done his inspection and it is approved for that facility to hold state prisoners.”
---------

Welch is a prisoner rights attorney who ripped Mississppi such a major new asshole over its prisons and jails that the federal judge put him in charge of overseeing the system. No prisoner may be housed somewhere without a piece of paper from Welch saying it's ok.

He put them in a completely submissive state.

GravatarI hate to be the one to tell you, but it appears that the NYT editorial staff has been taken over by DFH's. Check out this last sentence of an editorial appearing tomorrow:

The president will continue to claim the country is in grave danger over this issue, but it is not. The real danger is for Mr. Bush. A good law — like the House bill — would allow Americans to finally see the breathtaking extent of his lawless behavior.

Man, I am so glad that The Nancy took that pesky impeachment off the table. Heavens, what a mess we might have gotten into, eh?

GravatarDetroit is a good team but they are too passive. That is their problem as far as I can see. They have the most highly skilled players in the league but only if the other team does not touch their forwards. And their D-men are of the same variety with the exception of Chellios. Lidstrom and Kronwall are great skaters and passers. The new guy seems to bring a little toughness but they need someone back there to make forwards fear. They do not have that. They need forwards big and strong enough to take on the Chris Prongers of the league - they do not have them at this time. (Did you see that goon was suspended for eight games again?)

That is why I am amazed that they might not want to bring up my son's friend from MSU. Justin is just EXACTLY what they need. 6'2" 220 lbs and he is fast and LOVES to kick your ass when he is playing. And he is skilled with the puck and his shot is heavy. (Gave Youngest DWD a hell of a bruise THROUGH his flak jacket at practice. Something that is supposed to be impossible)

I know a few who are as copnservative as can be, and can't stand the fucker.

We were referring to Montrealais/ Quebecois "right wingers" - although still slightly retarded, they're probably what Americans would call "centrists," being kind of environmmentalists, not rabidly pro-war, etc. compared to U.S. righttards.   Mostly they're kind of  economic conservatives (which the coming depression ought to cure them of!)

GravatarI've never seen a cat that gnawed on stuff like she does.

When Hank (my Lab) was a puppy she gnawed a new hole in my antique chairleg, while I was in the room. It took a nanosecond. She also gnawed a hole in the wall between two rooms and rearranged most of the round knobs in my chest of drawers to other shapes. Then she ate a soap dish.

I'm reflecting on my desire to get a puppy. I miss Hanna dearly, but.........yeesh. That part was thirteen years ago. I had forgotten

GravatarWe adopted an alleged Maine Coon. My daughter thinks it's a Norwegian Forest Kitty. Anyway, Abby the new kitteh has been chewing through my cables like crazy; the phone line, the XM antenna, and so on. I have had to splice four wires, and so have now enclosed the more important (and higher voltage) lines in a sort of pipe I got from the office supply store.

I am afraid she's gonna wind up looking like Elsa Lanchester in The Bride of Frankenstein, if she survives...

Gravatarno, but you have SXSW this week and i wish i could be there.

GravatarThe 12 volt side.

Lucky. I was a real meanie with mine as kitties. Whenever I caught 'em even looking at a cord, I gave 'em what for. I wanted 'em scared to death of anything electric. Cruel to be kind, and all that. Seema to have worked, though. They'll play with anything ropelike, but won't touch a cord...

You're not alone in that assessment!

GravatarDwayne,

That is why they NEED Justin. You cannot beat him, it just makes him mad and better. He is a great hockey player. If you remember correctly he is the player who was voted the MVP of the Frozen Four last year. (A good friend of the family's. I want to see him playing in Detroit. My sons were with him when he received the call that he had been drafted by the Red Wings. That is cool! He wears the same number as my oldest because he showed him the ropes at both high school and MSU - he looks up to him like a big brother)

Get some of that hard, yet flexible, plastic tubing they sell at Home Depot-type stores. Cheaper and comes in all different widths.

People with rabbits (who should be kept indoors) use it to "rabbit-proof" the house.

GravatarObama gains a net of 10 delegates in Iowa, while a net of 9 delegates is what Clinton obtained over Obama with a substantial win in Ohio eleven days ago.

I don't know what that means...

It means it is even more impossible for Hillary to win more delegates than Obama.

But that doesn't matter because Hillary's continuing presence is not about winning the nomination.

Eventually this will become clear to everyone.

Um, and you don't see on college campuses as you did in the 1960s these rampant protests, uh, these obstruction of classrooms, these, the book burning, everything that went down. I think the kids are more conservative today and I think groups such as the Young America's Foundation help that-

Of course he wouldn't, Chris.

MATTHEWS: No, I'm just asking a particular question. Would you like to enlist in this war?
