the question is whether obama can win re-election in 2012. my belief is that he can, provided he is able to deliver the progressive policies most americans want but don't mention during elections for fear of being perceived as *gasp* liberal.

no need to click there - it consists only of a link to your site - but i thought you'd like the title of my post:
The establishment media is going under due to it's overt conservative bias and it's new status as a talking points stenographer. Their response to falling readership? More of the same. They hold on to the conventional "wisdom" so dogmatically that they can't correct their course. The ones that fail deserve to, the ones that adapt will survive.

We have to get him elected in 08 first.
Then after 4 years in the White House, with increased Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, I'm sure things will be headed in the right direction enough for him to get re-elected.

By U.S. forces and security guards, I mean.
I also hear U.S. citizens were terroristically involved in sending the U.S. troops cell phones, sun block, gooies-- anything they could to support the anti-Iraqi terrorism.
Good thing Barack will end that.

Obama is not generous and selfless. He is arrogant. If he fails to pick anyone but Hillary for VP, I will not vote for him, even though I'm a lifelong Democrat. He is less qualified and all his talk of change and unity is just rhetoric, bilge. Wake up and smell the coffee, don't fall for Obama's 3 card monte street hustle

Aaaah, yes, the Philadelphia Inquirer and its holding company. They do seem to have a history of withholding vital information from the public, don't they?
They, like all other members of the MSM have decided to keep quiet about the huge number of terrorist letter mailings inside the United States since late September 2001.
In a way, I understand why. They probably also received a suspicious mailing of an envelope containing powder, just like my local newspaper received, prompting them to put up a trailer outside their front doors so they could screen letters and packages before any entered their headquarters building.
Anyway, a decision was made at the top levels of corporate MSM, including at the Philadelphia Inquirer, to not investigate and report on the hundreds of thousands of copycat non-lethal terrorist mailings that have occurred in the U.S. since the initial lethal anthrax terrorist mailing of late 2001.
How do I know?
A Philadelphia Inquirer reporter told me so. After I contacted him about his PI article covering the federal trial of the Army of God escaped convict caught a year earlier in the Midwest, who while on the lam had mailed close to 500 terrorist letters to liberal/progressive organizations.
You see, around the time this right-wing religious nut was recaptured in December 2001, I saw a CNN lower-screen scroll message which stated that the FBI was conducting 15,000+ investigations into terrorist mailings in the U.S.. This CNN message ran for less than thirty minutes on that December 2001 night, then was discontinued, yanked I believe after someone in the Bush administration contacted CNN and told CNN to take it down.
15,000+ FBI investigations into domestic terrorist mailings just two months after the initial lethal anthrax terrorist mailing. Incredible.
The Oracle |
06.07.08 - 10:13 pm | #
(continued from previous post)
And a year later, a Philadelphia Inquirer reporter informed me (via email) that his bosses had told him that they had decided not to report on this widespread terrorist mailing epidemic in America...because they didn't want to alarm us citizens.
Noooooo, they didn't want to investigate and report on this because most of these mailings involved/still involve hardcore, right-wing religious fundamentalist types sending powder-filled envelopes to liberal/progressive organizations and individuals. Like Pat Leahy. Tom Daschle. Bill Clinton. Al Gore.
Al Gore's Tennessee office received a terrorist letter several years ago. The local news report included a statement from a first responder in which he stated that the Gore terrorist mailing incident was just one of 400 that had occurred in that local area alone since late 2001.
So, you see, the MSM, which some falsely claim is "liberal," has been covering up this vast right-wing terrorist letter mailing epidemic, in which a whole lot of liberals/progressives are being terrorized through the mails. And the Philadelphia Inquirer, and its holding company, is part of this right-wing conspiracy of silence.
The Oracle |

It's a little disappointing that most of these comments are not about the subject at hand. This is a big deal locally because, for quite a long time, the Philadelphia Inquirer was one of the better papers in the country (Bartlett and Steele, anyone?). It has become, in the last 6, 7, 8 or so years, unsuitable for wrapping fish. The last straw, for me, was the hiring of Rick man-on-dog Santorum as a columnist. I cancelled my 20 year subscription at that point. It's a terrible thing for this country now that the Phila Inquirer has joined the NY Times, LA Times, and Wash Post as useless rags. There are no decent newspapers left anymore.
