Get this off the blogs and into the MSM. It kinda swamps that whiny McCain ad about what Biden said in a debate awhile back.

As frustrated as I've been with Biden in recent years, I think that as Vice-President... and particularly as a Vice Presidential candidate you get his strengths pretty undiluted, without some of the drawbacks.
Like, y'know... his tendency to vote the opposite way from his speeches.

Biden does have a great depth of knowledge of the Constitution. I remember so far back that I remember his merciless shredding of Bork and also Rehnquist in confirmation hearings.
He's kinda like Spectre in being more bark than bite much more often than I like, but he does know the constitution. I think Obama will get good advice and opinion from him rather than rogue policies or acquiescence.

I'd say the same thing if it was anybody from CA who's not a movie star.
And for God's sake, look into the "progressive" thing. Unless there is at least some reduction in the amorphousness of it's meaning, it will go very bad for progressives.
Last time "progressive" was in vogue, they formed a political party, with a platform, and ran candidates. That might be better than having an undefined "progressive" out there, just waiting to be tied around our necks.

It's official: my ISP is blocking my access to Eschaton, Haloscan, my own blog, and a few other places. I'm still able to post at my blog but not read comments or comment myself.
They've had me do traceroutes and pings and check my DHCP settings and all sorts of stuff. It's still not working and I'm about to change providers, something I'd resisted because I do not want to change e-mail addresses at this stage in my life.
