Gotta go and watch Montana Class C women's high school basketball. The home team is going to tear them up. ... nope, the schedule says that we'll be facing a team from the reservation. They're too tough ...

I made the carrot-cashew soup tonight and it was very good. Should be called porridge and not soup, though.

The Shouldice Clinic, arguably the best place in the world to get your hernia fixed, is in Canada. As is Toronto Children's, McGill, others here and there.
Canada, it's worth noting, has government health insurance, but private docs. Its per capita cost for health care is, per one Googled site, $1939, compared with America's $4271, even though the Canucks insure everybody, and America fails to cover 47,000,000 people or so, with millions more underinsured.
At one time, there were more MRI machines in Corpus Christi, TX alone than in all of Canada. Tere's no significant difference in health outcomes between canada and the USA.

My fellow Americans, tonight I'm announcing the establishment of marshall law. Due to the roving bands of hooligans complaining about no home and job, to the falsifying of voter registration; I hereby cancel the upcoming election. I am appointing John McCain interim president, until law and order can be established, or until we can assure a republican president, whichever comes first.

Not sure, exactly. Probably both thickness and stick-togetherness.
