When I watch stuff like 24 I always marvel at the people who write what the computer programs do and how they work. There is a lot of wishful thinking going on. (I think the people who actually write the programs wish that they could do some of the stuff they show too.)
They WISH they had that kind of program with that interface. (I always wonder about the people who write the manuals and when Chloe has time to read them.)
They WISH that they could do what they just did with two keystrokes.
Shows like 24 give people a false sense of security, "Well couldn't they do BLANK if such and such happened?"

You mistake my point. It's not that I want to do nothing about the issues. It's that I fear nothing IS being done, and any actions beyond this point are too little too late. We have, IMO, passed the tipping point. All actions after now, are just catchups. It's not up to us now weather Climate Change occurs, it's what we do to save those caught up in the events. I fear that the worlds governments are just too cowed by the American government that nothing will ever be done.

Celebrating it? Maybe not. But treating it as the righteous judgment of Mother Nature is one of those things that sounds objective, but - IMO - really isn't.

The scientist discussed the paranormal investigator's experiments with a reporter, telling about the egregious malfeasance. The following report in the newspaper only said that the scientist had looked into the paranormal experiments, and omitted any hint of the bad experimental procedure.
Consequently, the paranormalist received heavy positive exposure.
