Sir, you are well off base in your remarks. What happened to Emmett Till was a transgression against humanity, and should not go unpunished. Carolyn Bryant should be held accountable for indentifying him in the kidnapping, which lead to his horrific torture and death. J.W. Milam proudly confessed in Look Magazine "That the Chicago boy said he was just as good as me, so I had to end his days". Had you Sir ever thought that if Emmett had denied being equal to Milam, that MAYBE he would have survived. Inspite of all of the beatings, the young boy still would not bow down and scrape to Milam...he (I am sure) knew Miliam would kill him for this, but still he held firm to his belief of equality in spite of his suffering. For this reason Sir.....he is a martyr and his sacrifice lead to the beginnings of the Civil Rights Movement in America. Therefore Sir....I ask you to rethink this and retract your statement.
In addition, Till only whistled at the woman...nothing more! Look how many white men have raped and inpregnated black girls for centuries....as evident of all the mulatto and mixed breed blacks in America...and it can't be denied....were any of them beaten and thrown in the river with a cotton-gin fan around their necks for this.....you already know the answser!!!!

Emmett Till had to know they were going to kill him, yet he stood firm in his belief that he was EQUAL to them. What a pity that others are so blinded by racism to see this! What you are saying sir , in this century, IS that Emmett Till's action was justified to being murdered. Carolyn Bryant will pay the price before her maker for pointing Emmett out to his murderers to be killed. God is the ultimate JUDGE here and she won't go unpunished. The Bryant brothers are already burning in hell and whoever else had Emmett Till's bloodstains on their hands.
That young boy did NOT deserve to be murdered. And that trial was a mockery of justice. Shame on the justice system in Mississippi!
I don't think that honestly free. I think he was wrongful killed. Primary witnesses qouted that he just whistled at her. That's no reason for no one to be killed, and i don't find it as an insult either... How do you consider that as an insult explain
Sir, you should be ashame of yourself for that comment, but they say ehe veryone is entitled to there own opinion but that was crazy very crazy.. revise the incedent and say that was your son that was brutally murder.. How would you feel would you say then that caused his own death... would you say that it was a personal matter than I think NOt you would feel different. you should really think things out before you put things on the internet like this. Emmett Louis Till is a hero. HE maynot be in your eyes but he is in my eyes and many others... Like someone stated above me there are alot of white men that should have been killed for their insults, rapes,etc to African American Women... think about that
