Realtime pricing for utilities is definitely a pipe dream. I happen to work with Green Mountain energy here in Houston.
I can honestly tell you, energy price changes by the day.
There are websites out there such as simplyswitch.com that can help choose your electricity provider, but those sites are far far away to provide real-time comparison shopping like we are used to for regular products like, http://www.PriceComparison.com.
