Well, first there are the fumigators who have to go through, some Native American shamans to smudge the place, a hazmat team, some Voodun priestesses to purge the place, a group of sandblasters to clear out the last remaining smells . . . .
I'd say about Valentine's Day it'll be safe for him to sit there.

In the United Kingdom, Remembrance Sunday is the second Sunday of November, the Sunday nearest to 11 November (Remembrance Day), which is the anniversary of the end of the hostilities of the First World War at 11 a.m. in 1918.
In the United Kingdom, Remembrance Sunday is marked by ceremonies at local war memorials in most towns and villages, attended by civic dignitaries, ex-servicemen and women (principally the Royal British Legion), members of local armed forces reserve units (Royal Naval Reserve, Territorial Army, Royal Marines Reserve and Royal Auxiliary Air Force), youth organisations (e.g. Scouts and Guides), and military cadet forces (e.g. Air cadets, Army cadets and Sea cadets). Wreaths of poppies are laid on the memorials and two-minutes' silence is held at 11 a.m. In Ireland it is marked by a ceremony in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, which the President of Ireland attends.
there is a whole official ceremony at the Cenotaph in London
Moon, I hope when you're watching the BBC this weekend, you see whatever promotion they're doing for Remembrance Day programmes. They're using GWPDA photos!
The Defense Budget is nearly $800 billion/year when you include all the wars (that are "off-budget") and all the black ops (that are hidden).
The U.S. outspends the next 15 countries in the world on "defense."
Since the government needs to save money, how about a 10% reduction every year for the next four years.
We might then be able to afford to fix our infrastructure.

The basic idea is that you need black folks to have been about 10 percent of all votes cast on Prop 8 to make a difference. Black folks are one of the smallest minorities in California, making up about six percent of the total electorate, which numbers at about 17 million. At 6 percent, black folks are worth about a million or so votes. There were just over ten million votes cast on Prop. 8. For blacks to cast ten percent of those you would need a turnout of 90 percent in the black community. Lemme repeat that--90 percent. It's possible, I guess. I leave it to you to weigh the odds.

My stalker!
No, really, it's true.Imagine my amazement when I turn up here and see a commentator called GWPDA!!!!
aangus: This space for hire.
I think that's really cool.
Also the fact that the Beeb is using Dr. GWPDA's archives -- that's cool, too.

Well, in fact a "goldendoodle" would be best.
Le Jackel
true story: when i was a child, our irish wolfhound, one of the largest breeds in existence (6'3" on hind legs), got out one night smelling a nearby bitch in heat, and mated with our neighbor's goldendoodle whatever it's called tiny, lap dog female. the puppies, which mom and dad took responsibility to assign to homes, were actually beautiful. not as large as the sire, and golden, straight long hair and a pleasing hound face. we gave one to my grandparents, and "Lady" was one of the better dogs they ever had on the farm.
overhearing family conversations about the offspring, when i wasn't supposed to, accelerated my understanding of jokes about size and sex, however...

I suspect many here are stumbling across other's works from here, though they still may not know who created them.
Many here both read,

They love having power, but they abuse it and aren't good at making things work for the people (except the very rich ones).
Rudy
The wingers just made the entire economic system collapse, and that IS NOT GOOD FOR RICH either.
I've hear about those goldendoodles, never had one myself. Had a neighbor that swore by them.

i recall that clinton's campaign somewhat foreshadowed his administration - continued popularity but also relentless snarling exposure of his frailties
i hope barack's calm, intelligent, smooth running campaign was a sign of things to come

Republican Sen. Norm Coleman sought an injunction to stop the opening and counting of 32 absentee ballots in Minneapolis, according to a copy of the court documents filed today provided to the Pioneer Press by Democrat Al Franken's campaign.
The race between Coleman and Franken, fierce rivals for months for the right to represent Minnesota in the U.S. Senate, is headed for an automatic recount because Coleman's lead is less than one half of one percent over Franken. Currently, Coleman has just a 221-vote advantage

''' Report: Georgia May Have Sparked War With Russia
POSTED: 02:11 PM ET, 11/ 7/2008 by Derek Kravitz
Accounts by European observers monitoring August's Georgia-Russia war have cast doubt on pro-Western Georgian claims that it was attacked first, The New York Times reported. '''
Uh, at the time, wasn't this obvious to anyone who doesn't rely on american media for news?

I can't imagine why he wanted Franken to not pursue a recount...

Did Barack Obama buy the election?
As everyone knows, Barack Obama has spent excessive amounts of money on his presidential campaign, with a total at least doubling that of John McCain's
