Comments on the Aussie Echo blog

Spare us the Op-Ed AE.

Being a sympathizer to Chabad...I must say, regarding your comment "I suppose that we should at least reflect on how we can live our lives in the way that the Rebbe wanted to improve ourself and the world around us"
1) If you cared one ounce for what the Rebbe wants you would immediately cease facilitating so much Loshon Horoh. Or is your editorial discretion so fined tuned to the point that you've managed to weave around every single 'potential' Loshon Horoh. I'd argue that even one editorial slip wasn't worth it?
After all, embarrassing someone is likened to killing, and if you truly believe a Jew is a world, how many worlds are you willing to facilitate killing?
2) Do you realize that of all people, readers, blog posters etc, you AE are the one person with a 'stake' in each and every letter on this blog? Doesn't that make you accountable?
3) Would you stare your Rebbe in the eyes and share this wonderful initiative with him?
Perhaps your resolution should be to let somebody else do the dirty work....someone who cares even less than you do about what the Rebbe wants!!
What is most ironic, is that regarding the statement above "improve ourself and the world around us", YOU OF ALL PEOPLE are in the best position, with the simple click of the mouse, to impact many many people in a very positive way.
AE whatever excuses and justifications you've managed to conjure up, one thing is for certain; your desire to maintain this blog demonstrates a FAR GREATER weakness than that of your choice to remain anonymous.
At least if you were named, you could argue that you don't want to be labelled BY OTHERS as having buckled to pressure.
Your anonymity only serves as proof, that your biggest dilemma is your own internal struggle between what’s right and what’s wrong, not to mention your dependence on this blog for self worth.
AE, as a mature and sensible individual, do you truly believe that this blog serves more positive causes than negative?
p.s. I hope that you take this in the spirit it was written....in the spirit of the 3rd of Tammuz, the Yahrzeiyt of YOUR beloved Rebbe.

Thank you for your well thought out analysis.

Un Vos, A far bigger question is: Can the management of the Rebbe's moissad stare 'your' Rebbe in the eyes and justify their actions?

"DaMinyan has much pleasure in inviting the community to join them in celebrating a Siyum Sefer Torah on Sunday 28 June 2009, 6 Tamuz 5769"

I just received a phone call from a young woman asking me to buy a letter in the "Chabad Youth Sefer Torah". I said "the Chabad Youth Sefer Torah?
I thought it was a Sefer Torah for DaMinyan?" and she told me it was a joint Sefer Torah.

Well, this is the first time I have heard of it being jointly shared between Chabad Youth and DaMinyan. In fact the quote above is from MK's invatation sent out by email.

What do we think of that?
