Way to Go, Sir! It is so cool that your passion for flying and your willingness to teach others has been recognized in this way. You've chosen not only to pursue your love of aviation on a personal level but have also used it to make a difference in the lives of many young people. Awesome!

Congratulations Dave! No great team has succeeded without a great leader, and it counts for double when it's a volunteer organization. You've earned your wings, again, by helping a whole lot of other people earn theirs. Good on yer mate!

Dave,
I am trying this for the second time. Here we go. it was my pleasure to promote you to LtCol. Do not sell these promotions short, I try to only promote those that actively work toward the common good of our great organization. The NERCC, Col. Didduch and I both agreed that your accomplishments in Aerospace Education and in the work with your unit are of a superior nature. Your friends speak of passion, you are that type of individual (SPECIAL). People like you make this the great organization that it is.
If I can be of assistance in any way to you or the unit do not hesitate to call.
Dave, it is my pleasure to salute you!

I stumbled upon this while looking up things to do in Morocco, and finding Gail's page. Dave I am sorry I never had the chance to meet you. Is that strange? I'm a stranger on another continent and would probably never have met you had you lived, but the possibility would have existed, and now that is gone. You sound like you were a great guy. From what I can see you are sorely missed and much remembered.
