Brad,
I had even better feedback today. Il. Rep. Jim Durkin (R) Oak Park is running John McCain's Illinois Campaign and has reached out to many Regular Democrats, like myself. His Chicago guy - who wil remain anonymous for the time being - is an experieneced operative who can help bring in cross-over voters.
We all feel that this loks good for the best guy in the field - John McCain.

Pat,
You are doing the down and dirty work. It is so important. I was at McCain NH headquarters today. I made about 100 calls inviting people in Exter to come to McCain's Townhall meeting in Hampton on Tuesday. I actually spoke to 39 people. I think 4 people hung up on me. What I found interesting was that 14 people indicated that if the primary was held today (An increasingly likely scenario given Iowa's move to Jan 3rd) they would be voting for McCain. While completely unscientific, this is a huge change from just a few weeks ago when McCain registered 2 or 3 vote preferences with the vast majority saying they were undecided.

That's interesting. You are the first Conservative I've come across in the blogosphere who supports McCain.

Wow Dave,
Don't hold back. Tell us how your really feel. Obviously I am not going to convince you otherwise so I guess will agree to disagree on McCain.

"A lesser man, a lesser candidate would have been finished after the July “implosion” of his campaign."
Snake McCain is a "lesser man". His antipathy to free political speech alone disqualifies him from ANY public office. His despicable, lying defense of "Fifi" (never met a Mexican president's lap he didn't find comfotable) Bush's amnesty plan should have landed him OUT of office. He's less than a "lesser man"--he's utterly vile. IOW, a typical Washington politician *spit*
