I think this might shed some light on your predicament.

Huh?
I can understand the beginning of your post... but then you lost me... What does the last paragraph have to do with "want"??

Nice post.... I think the conclusion is that it's possible to want two (or more) things at once even if they're the extreme opposite (ex: wanting to eat cookies and wanting to lose weight.)?
I'm also fascinated with words... it's a lengthy topic.

Baal Devarim,
it's so cool how you've written a whole post to win that book. You used that word in the right context and also in the right blog-post.
I also noticed how you intertwined this posting-for-prize with the fact that you haven't posted in a while.
Come on, you can post every-so-often without the incentive of winning a prize.
I will try to arrange a prize for using an entire sentence in context, in order that you keep them posts coming our way.

I know I'm an exception on this one, but for me it has alwase been eazy to accept that I have no free will.
Once u add up all the influences that shape a person, like the society and social circles they grew up with, their family, parents, friends, and the own biology and personality they were born with, you don't stay with a lot of 'choice'. Regardless of what you choose there is alwase a reason why u chose that -the reason being that YOU, meaning all the influences that shape you, concluded that its good for you.
If I would've been you and you me, then I would've written the article and you would've written the response I just wrote. How do I know? Cause obviously that's what happened! So that's what a person like you, in your situation in that setting and time and influences of that day or whatever prompted you to write it, would write.
