Awesome photos! On our Hakkoda hike on Monday Jacob was finding warm comfort in the jacket you left in his car, and we were all wondering how you were making out in the South Alps. An enviable adventure, indeed.

I took my skiing jacket with me when I went to the South Alps, so I was alright. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that jacket of mine though. Do you know if Jacob still has it?

Takeyah, now is actually a really good time to climb Iwaki if you're not too bothered by the low temperatures at the top. If you don't have the time now, an April climb would be good, hiking the spring snow. At that time of year the snow will have condensed well enough so not to have to worry about avalanches and other such dangers, and there are plenty of sunny days in the spring too.
