Maybe you can try dreaming about some murderers in bikinis. It's a step in the right direction, I suppose.

Thanks Jan, but I've a feeling that if I point my mind in that direction I'll sooner end up being murdered in a bikini.

Your lucky! I'd murder for a good night's sleep. Seriously, though, look into the interpretation of dreams. Freud had plenty to say. Sweet dreams.

Yeah, Freud would come in handy right now. I could maybe get my hands on a Japanese edition, but that'd be no good to me. Might try googling.

I think its catching! After I read this entry last night, I dreamed about murder, too.
Actually my family thinks I have a lot of weird dreams - usually not murder! - and we often spend the breakfast hour trying to trace them back to their sources.
My longest running recurring dream wasn't too hard to trace. In our old house the church services and English classes all took place in the same room we also slept in. So it was hardly surprising that I frequently dreamed church had started and I was still lying in bed. After 10 years of that nightmare, we finally built a church and separate house and I've never had that one again.
Driving a car(clad only in my slip!) without a license was harder to figure out but I stopped dreaming that one as soon as I turned 16 and got my licence.

In all honesty, I think I can trace my latest 'murder dream' back to a movie we watched the other night. It didn't occur to me at first, but now I remember a stabbing scene and I also remember flinching as I watched it. I think the flinch must have struck a chord inside me somewhere, which left me ready for something nasty to happen in my sleep.
Like I said, though, these dreams come and go easily. Nowadays I'll drag myself out of them before they get too hairy. It's like I'm asleep, but I know what's going on and I just nudge myself awake in order to avoid the worst of it. Violent as they are, my dreams carry little weight, and nobody gets hurt.
