You found size 12/13 climbing shoes in Japan? Are you living among giants?!?

Actually, since I was about fifteen my feet have shrunk about a centimetre. Now I wear 11.5s UK size. These are 11.5s, but not surprisingly for climbing shoes they are really small and feel like a size 8. My toes get bent around and I feel like one of those Chinese girls from years gone by.

I'll be sad too, mum. And yes, the shoes are meant to be smaller than normal shoes. Your feet are supposed to be climbing tools; like blocks, I suppose. They're only for on the wall, or on the rocks. When you're not climbing you take them off. I certainly won't be wearing them out at night
