amazing pics luke. especially the last. You're right taking good pictures has become a lot easier with digital cameras, but it still takes someone with a keen eye to know what is good to take a pic of. I think my favorite pics of yours are in the dark woods with the midst from last fall and of course the pictures of the snow capped mountains and untouched ski runs.

If that is Mary with Jesus than I imagine the prone figure is Joseph sleeping through it all. That's what husbands usually do when the baby cries in the night!
I could wish I had that last photo as a poster. Its GORGEOUS! But alas, I have no more empty walls or doors. (And I do have an unhung poster of Hakodate in winter which I obtained with great difficulty.)

Thanks for the compliments, you two. And Jacob, it's been so long since any mountains have been visible this winter I haven't been able to take those kind of shots for quite a while. Still, it means more fun on the ski hills: 70 cm again today!!

Wow, they are some amazing pics. How did you get the coppery effect on the outdoor shots of the cathedral? I went snowboarding for the first time last weekend. It was brilliant. Do you ski or snowboard?

The outdoor shots are orangey because of the colour of the street lights in Lincoln, and the snow clouds above reflected the light very strongly. I've been snowboarding only so far this year, but I might use my skis before too long. Went to Hakkoda yesterday and it was immense.

The cathedral! Look at the cathedral!
Nice piccies there Luke, actually made me feel slighty homesick, which is odd since I haven't lived in Lincoln for seven years now. Goodness me, has it really been that long etc. etc.

Seven? That does seem a long time. As far as places to live in the UK go, Lincoln's got it's good points. Did you move to Cheltenham straight after 'thirty, shoes off at the door, three'? I walked past that place when I went back. It looks quite different now. Did you know that the big skinhead who lived a few doors down died in a motorbike crash? He wore a leather jacket and he had piercings all over, looked rough as hell but he was actually a really nice guy. His name was Andy I think. And Bill, the old Irish guy who we'd have to dodge in the street for fear of being dragged into an hour long, expletive laden conversation about the war. He's not in his place anymore, which makes me think he's probably in the knackers yard.
The times, they have changed, etc etc.
