Thanks, Luke. It was a nice suprise to see those photos, despite them being from such a difficult time. We all experienced and learned so much during those few weeks and those pictures bring it back into focus.
Part of me wants to put that time to the back of my mind and remember the times before Dad was ill, but then I don't want to forget the special love and tenderness we all shared then either.
I'm glad other people can also see what happened; how life can change so suddenly; what a dying man looks like. A lovely man.

I was going to write as well but decided against it. I wanted to make something like a bloggers hurdle before I start posting other stuff. Climbing shots and stuff.

Just saw the pictures you posted Luke. I hope things are going well for you in Japan after all that has happened over the last 3 months.
I thought of you the other day as I was doing some hiking in the Lakes. There is a place called Wasdale that I feel sure you would love.

I've followed this blog for a while but never commented; I'm glad you're back posting and I hope that you're doing all right.
I didn't realize I was reliant on your pictures until they were gone.
Thanks.

Hi Luke,
Nice to see those photos up on your Blog. Your Dad was a great guy and someone I always had a lot of respect for.
I'm in the middle of moving at the mo, will e-mail you soon.

Nick, Bryce and Gez, thanks. You're right, Gez, he was a good man. It's nothing but a shame when someone like him dies, whoever the person is.
