Sorry. You can't blame this all on the Mexicans. It is everybody's fault. I was a white dude in a truck throw his food wrapper out the window while driving down the road yesterday.

I just saw a report on NBC 17 this morning, that showed a rounded city budget, and the parks and recreation dept takes a large portion of it....of which a significant amount of the money is spent on all this waste management.
This problem has gotten out of control, so you get up on my sopbox too! I mean seriously, the trash can is RIGHT THERE!

Hey, I agree. It's not the Mexicans. This is the well-to-do part of town too. We've got a serious litter problem I tell you.
It's colorblind. It's even socio-economic blind. We're just full of litterbugs in Bakersfield.

Too bad we can't allow the clean up crews to ticket the people they see litering. Of course, they would probably just throw the ticket on the ground too, but if it didn't get paid they could double the fine or something. Money seems to be the only way to motivate people sometimes.

I saw Bates' post being more about Slobs and less about Mexicans.
The people littering these fine parks - worthless degenerate slobs.

I was just talking last week about writing a story about park trash. I was going to go around to various city parks and just take pics of trash everywhere. I live by the park in Oleander. Is it Beale? I forget, but it is a trash heap; and such a beautiful park with awesome trees and interesting bird watching. Great story about a big Bakersfield litter problem. Diapers in parks gross me out. I still might go take photos...

It is a problem all over town. It's sad really. And yes, that is Beale Park. It is the first park ever built in town.

Yeah, I have Wilson Park. There are houses all around the park too, and I'm sure the home owners hate that the scenic view out their windows, also includes McDonalds burger wrappers and diapers.
Yeesh.
