Nothing like it. Be brave, be free, enjoy nature au'natural!

Isn't there a problem at Rooster Rock of people who use the beach for sex, especially homosexual sex?

Gravatar An 'agent provocateur', eh?

Nevertheless, I will respond.

Yes, there is a huge problem with people using beaches for sex . . . particularly on textile beaches where scantily clad women and men excite one another. Fortunately, on the clothing-optional beaches, user-groups of naturists and nudists do their best to discourage this unwanted activity. No such advocacy is forthcoming on the hundreds of miles of textile beaches with their secluded dunes and bushy areas where public sex is seen as a rite of passage for irresponsible people. There is far more public sex going on on non-clothing-optional beaches than on nude beaches.

As for homosexual sex . . . sex is sex, whether hetro or homo. Let's not make this an anti-homosexual bashing forum. Not my cup of tea but to each their own.

BTW, there is an awful lot of sex taking place in the bedrooms of consenting adults. Shall we make a case for criticizing that sex as well?

Gravatar One of the problems at Rooster Rock is overnight camping on the beach which is against the rules. Most often they leave a ton of burned wood, nasty fire fits and a ton of garbage. The arrive by boat and leave their garbage.

Gravatar Forgot about the boaters, but yes, they are a huge problem. Come the begining of boating season and lowering waters they often take over Sand Island while it is still inaccessible from the shore. Often (90% of the time), these are textiles who see an emerging beach, do not see the clothing-optional signs (either tear them down or they have been damaged by the winter high-water levels), and then believe they have a beach especially to themselves.

Come lowing water levels the nudists start making it out to Sand Island and inevitably conflicts and confrontations start to happen with boaters who were either not aware that they are in a clothing-optional area . . . or flat out don't care and are trying to adversely take possession of the beach to the exclusion of nudists. It takes a lot of effort and patience to re-establish ourselves each year once we can make it out to Sand Island.

The problem with boater's is that they by and large are not environmentally friendly. They have this isolated and unpatrolled beach while the river is high . . . and after their partying and binge drinking they just dump their garbage. Makes for a major cleanup later in the year.

And while we're on the subject of sex on the beach . . . um, guess what segment of society uses Sand Islands' off-season inaccessibility and huge sand dunes to engage in some rather inappropriate activity? Not the nudists . . . most of those boaters are otherwise normal people, mostly textile and with good-enough incomes to afford a boat. Don't blame nudists, or the fact that nudism is permitted at Rooster Rock . . . blame irresponsible individuals instead. Nudists spend an inordinate amount of time and effort cleaning up and discouraging this type of activity!
