you heard about the $250 million refinery guiso in Nicaragua... the money was allocated and only about a million spent on the project which is now like the sugar refinery project in Barinas.

This is a slap in the face to Venezuelans who spent almost a day without electricity last week.
On Sunday there was no electricity in parts of Miranda.
I would think the goverment is playing all of the cards it has... to lose popularity.
The thing that gets me is, alright, maybe this program started 6 months ago. Maybe you think the program is a good idea, maybe you don't. We can argue about it, but the program itself is not insane. There are regional strategy reasons to do this, there's humanitarian considerations, whatever. I don't really buy those arguments, but a rationale exists.
What makes NO sense is the press release! I mean now!? Is this really the time to be tooting their own horn for spending millions keeping the lights on in other countries? Would it kill Izarrita to hold off for a couple of weeks? Is this his idea of making the government look good?
These guys are nuts...
As I said before: Where is the opposition? Is it capitalizing on such surreal items BIG TIME?
Really this kind of item I would rub with a bit of salt and red peppers into the wounds of anyone suffering the effects of the blackouts, and calling him or herself a chavista. Particularly if like most of them he called him or herself an adeco before. That they have been cinically duped and that they should take it out on populists past and present, instead of being a tool for them with what I call (introduce the adjective you like more, I can think of two) "resentimiento ****on" and "viveza criolla".
I believe what Laureano Marquez said at the start of the La Reconstituyente. The real problem comedians and humorists have with chavismo is not finding source material, but that they have more than enough as it is, in it's raw form.
