Hey nice one! I'm a surgical student at Lutheran hospital in NY, and they warn us about pelvic fractures. Someone could ooze most of their blood volume into a pelvic hematoma, especially with an iliac wing fx since the common iliac veins drain all of the blood from the ipsilateral leg.
Did you do the blanket compression maneuver to control the bleeding? I don't see an external fixator, not that it would help with the shattering evident.
Did he go to the OR? What approach was used?
