More than the pressure of perfection, the Patriots had other problems:

1. Pressure of the Giants' defensive linemen who kept pushing the Pats' QB around and knocking him to the ground, disrupting his thought patterns. For me, anyway, this brought back memories of the great Giants defense of the late 50's and early 60's.
2. Pats' overconfidence.
3. Poor decisions or non-decisions by Pats' evil coach.
4. Unexpected great performance by Giants' offense in last drive, including a "miracle" pass play.

The Pats did not choke in the usual sense; on Sunday they were outclassed up and down the line.

Bob,

I checked with my local expert on all matters Giants(my brother) and he agrees with you.

I just submitted a comment on R Shafran's post to CC on the topic; hope it's not too controversial.
