About the plot being too much too soon... I had the same thing said to me on my first novel by one agent and then other agents didn't feel that way--they loved my first sample chapters and asked to see more. This is the novel that Zonderkidz asked for a series pitch, so they obviously didn't agree either.

YES! I got so much out of that one nugget she gave us about the 19 drafts. It was heartwarming to know that if they see something there..anything...you have a shot. Very encouraging conference.

Great information. I wish I could have been there. From everything I've read online, you guys did a great job putting on this conference. I'm looking forward to becoming more involved with the chapter next year.
