Poo. But if it's all from the same editor, I think it probably says more about her than about the mss.
I wouldn't worry about the comment about writing style. I'll take yours over Whoopi Goldberg's any day : )

You can't take this kind of thing personally. I read Jane Yolen's on-line journal, and she has ideas rejected all the time. Sometimes after she was encouraged to work on them and submit. And she's supposed to be America's Hans Christian Anderson. (This comment will be more meaningful if you like Hans Christian Anderson.)
When I sold my first screenplay, it was rejected over a dozen times the same day that two places ultimately said they wanted it. Same script got totally shredded in some places (and I've seen the coverage of it, so I'm not joking when I say totally shredded) yet also was well liked other places. And I bet if we'd sent the script out on a different day, we'd've gotten different reactions. It surely taught me not to take this stuff too much to heart, as it truly is just someone's opinion. And WRONG, usually
